That's generally considered OK because the truck has to come to your house if you have one pound of trash or three hundred pounds. But I can see your point - the second part of the cost - landfill use - you're paying more than your share.
With police work it's waaaaaay off kilter - I'm tired of my tax dollars being used to babysit predominately black communities. If they want to use that much police protection - let them pay for it. Same with water and electricity. Pay for what you use... no more, no less.
