I agree with Levin on most things, but it's just pointless to try and trash one particular potential candidate before anyone has even declared and laid out their platforms. And there is just something a little too obsessive about Levin's approach to Trump. Levin might be better off at this point to try and learn why so many are receptive to what Trump has to say. And it's far more than the BC issue.

That some question could be asked of most any prominent business executive in the US. Most people understand that everyone who makes significant political contributions gets something in return: ACCESS.
But unless someone has the offer and the acceptance of a bribe and what will be give in return on video, there is little hope of ever proving a quid pro quo on some specific benefit received for a contribution. Our wonderful legislators have set things up that way, intentionally.
Trump's just contributing for access and good relations with his specific NY legislators just like many other businesses. There is nothing there to get exercised about, just something to misrepresent in an attempt to discredit Trump.

Tried to find a thread about the current show. The search turned up threads 2 days old. So I tried again and ended up here. (I didn't “BOP” over here). The reason I wanted to contribute to the discussion was because Levin was on a tirade distorting the facts about Trump. Oh, by the way, I am a Birther, and proud of it. I don't know where this Trump candidacy is headed if anywhere, but Levin is just trashing the guy with half truths and conjecture. Why doesn't he have Trump on his show and just ask him?
I looked up Trumps contributions. He donated to candidates in BOTH parties. More Dems than Reps, true. NY is a DEMOCRAT state. NYC is a DEMOCRAT city. It's hard to find a Republican to vote for. Do people make donations to candidates to garner influence? DUH! Levin is so disingenuous here. Illegal???? C’mon man. Mark were you born last night? Just fly in from Jupiter? Mark was being ridiculous on this point.
