The Arizona Senate approved the so-called ‘birther’ bill requiring 2012 presidential candidates to prove they were born in the U.S. and are thus eligible to run for president.
The measure, House Bill 2177, is aimed at President Barack Obama and those on the political right who want him to produce a birth certificate proving he was born in Hawaii and not Kenya, where his father if from.
The Arizona Legislature passed the bill 20-8 on a party-line vote in the State Senate with Republicans backing and Democrats opposing.
The measure includes some changes that allow for other documents beside birth certificates to be produced by presidential contenders. It now goes back to the Arizona House of Representatives for another vote. The House previously approved the birther bill without new Senate changes.

IIRC, the difference is that ANYBODY can get a “Certification” regardless of where they are born, while a “Certificate” is issued by the hospital.
If the president says that his father is Barak Obama, Sr. is he not admitting that he is not a Natural Born Citizen? Put that to him and he will show his BC if it is not true. Wouldn’t you say?

Precisely. And when the Establishment hacks nod and say, "Yep, good enough", that will be trumpeted as "proof" that Birthers are conspiracy nuts.

to the US .... It never said if the family “gave up their citizenship” when they

No, I wouldn’t say. He’s not going to release any records unless the people of the United States get serious about the Constitution and force it. The pos in the White House is in a pickle. There is no way he can come out ahead by releasing any records. He comes out a liar any way other then hiding the truth. The best he can hope for is obfuscation.
About a dozen states are considering this.
