Continuing to feed a beast that has an insatiable appetite, and has grown beyond all the boundaries defined in the US Constitution is hardly "patriotic".

Its Patriotic to insist that the beast goes a on a severe diet.
And yes, it is true that we have been Blessed in this Country beyond all measure, and it has produced an environment that is conducive to innovation and achievement - but that has been the outcome gained from a limited government - not the monstrosity that exists today. Why has our economy stagnated? Why have companies had to flee off-shore? To a large degree this has been due to this enormous government which these "patriots" insist that we feed.

I think Congress could easily grant them their wish by simply enacting tax legislation specifically for those mentioned in their letter.

I figure that an annual tax rate of 150% would be just right, with the caveat that should any of the aforementioned try to move their money or the person out of the US, all of their monies are forfeit... as well as all future earnings.

In other words, they become an indentured servant to the US.

I'm sure that they'd quickly become so blissed out in ecstasy over their change to finally pay ‘more’.

I don’t give a rat’s behind what these scumbags do with their money. How hard could it be for these scumbags to google an address for the US Treasury so they know where to send their checks?

I’m not sure I understand why they are “asking” to be taxed more when all they have to do is...
Oh wait...!
Are they really saying that what they want is for government to put a gun to OTHER PEOPLE’S heads?
Well, if that’s the case then they can have a happy heart attack and drop dead.

Funny how the rich Hollywood limo liberals are so generous with your money, but are loathe to part with their own.

Idiots ... you are at liberty to send a check AT ANY TIME to the US TREASURY, if you believe you are not being taxed enough. If that’s too hard for you to understand, you can just as easily forgo any taxable deductions, and that would increase your taxes as well.

Because you are too STUPID to figure this out... Don’t SCREW the rest of us!!!

Patriotic Millionaires: “What Money?”

Anyone with any sense has already made plans to offshore their wealth.

There was some years back I made less than $30K. Then years when I have fallen in to this group. It is stupid and insane for anyone to buy the "given" that someone is rich or poor based on what they made in the last 12 months. I don't care if it is Obama or the sperm donor that spawned Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. Any of these tools that say that someone is "wealthy" based on what they made recently are just wrong headed.

Taxing someone on what they made in the past year is arbitrary and wacked. Why do that? It means nothing. I reject the entire notion that anyone is "wealthy" based on what flowed THROUGH their pockets. It is taxing cash flow, not wealth. These people are MORONS and they are fine examples of why this country is in the toilet. If you look at most of these folks they really have not done much to have created (key word) the cash flow they live off of. Obama cretainly has not. Someone like Al Gore has not. They are parasites.

It is unfortunate that people buy in the premises that are so widely accepted but really have no basis in reality.

Of course these “millionaires” say they want to be taxed more. It’s no different than the unions that fought so hard for Obamacare. What happened? Many of the unions got waivers out of Obamacare, thus giving them an unfair advantage vs. the non union shops that have to abide by the law.

IIRC, Jeffrey Immelt has argued for higher taxes & yet his company, G.E. pays very little, if anything in taxes. I would be willing to bet that Immelt himself pays little in comparison on his personal taxes.

The point? These “millionaires”, while arguing for higher taxes, I’m sure have been assured “loopholes” will be their reward for their efforts, just as w/ the unions, etc. w/ Obamacare. These liberals are soooo hypocritical & frankly transparent w/ a little research. Remember Teddy Kennedy, who while fighting ardently for windmills, wouldn’t allow them in his area?

Millionaires, it’s time to put up or shut up. Set the example. Voluntarily pay extra without anything in return. Otherwise we’ll have no choice, historically speaking, but to wonder what you’re receiving on the back side. You virtually always do.

They should be told, point blank, to:

1. Quit worrying about what everyone who is “rich” will pay.

2. If you actually believe what you say, then put your own money where your mouth is and simply donate all your income over $1,000,000 to the government.

That should shut them up.

No, they asking the Federales to tax OTHER people more. They can give as much as they wish to IRS, but they want to force others to “donate,” too.

What this yo-yo group wants is not for only them to pay more, but for everyone who is a millionaire to pay more, whether they like it or not

. If they are really serious, then there is nothing preventing them for giving extra money to the Federal Treasury even today. I would imagine you would fine that none of them have done this!

raising tax rates on millionaires could raise $60 billion to $80 billion a year in revenue.

Ok, that should pay off our $14,000,000,000,000 in 233 years. If there's no inflation, if the economy doesn't implode and if you figure out how to live for 233 years.
