"How else could the continued election of so-called representatives Eddie Berneice Johnson and Sheila Jackson Lee be explained?"

How about by the utter failure of the public education system in certain areas of Texas?

But think about it: Is Texas better off with the likes of Miz Johnson and Miz Lee here in Texas, or safely and harmlessly ensconced in minority seats in Washington DC?

So, what can the GOP do? They can stuff as many minorities into a handful of districts as they can, creating those wellknown snake-like districts that the Dems win by 85+% every election.

Nope. Not gonna fly with Eric holder in D.C. The disgraceful Voting Rights Act has a section which permits the DoJ to have veto power over redistricting where "racial discrimination" is suspected. MALDEF is already planning to sue ANY redistricting plan put out by the GOP, and Holder will do their bidding by stepping in. It's going to be ugly.

Nah, the snakelike, minority supermajority districts are the kind of things the lefties love. Permanent, guaranteed seats for minorities.

Plus - and here’s the dirty little secret - blacks and hispanics don’t like each other much. Don’t expect a radical black nationalist like Holder to go to bat overmuch for a bunch of Mexicans who are in the process of taking away political power from blacks.

Currently, 3 of the 7 “hispanic districts” elected republicans.

So much the better!

DC, where they are looked upon as ignorant and inconsequential. Better there than here...fouling up things in Austin.
