As part of the accord, the Senate will hold standalone votes on the Planned Parenthood provision as well as a measure that would defund President Obama's healthcare initiative. Neither vote is likely to pass. FGS

Crybaby got bitchslapped by Reid. Tea partiers nauseated. Unborn babies cringing in fear. Republicans declare victory. Democrats can't stop grinning.

Why the heck have two political parties if both are intent on screwing the American taxpayers?

So we go through this again next week. LoL. It will be hard for the media to generate CRISIS week after week.

So, from what I have read so far, the only hit Planned Parenthood took was to not fund abortions in Washington DC. Big deal. Very disappointing. Unless I am not understanding all of it. Someone please educate me if I am wrong. I want to be angry for the right reasons.
I also did not see any mention of NPR. Does anyone know what was done about defunding them, which is what most of us were hoping for.

What difference does it make? Walter Williams says Obama will get re-elected for sure and Dick Morris says if the Republicans agree to anything under 61 Billion they have committed suicide. So what is the use?

none of the Republican House's proposed policy provisions, including one to defund Planned Parenthood that consumed much of the attention of the final day of negotiations, along with riders that would have limited the power of the Environmental Protection Agency, were included in the final package. #(^$@^ $@!)(*^% @%&&&$^%$!!!!

Neither vote is likely to pass.We will see...I think that they might...lot's of Democrat Senators up for election in 2012.

When it’s time to take a stand, *take a stand*.
obama played with the military. goddamn him for that.
Boehner likely should have taken to every airwave yelling about soldiers in 2 wars being used as HOSTAGES, given that the democrats favor that word.

No reason to be angry. This is just for a week so the same crap will go on week after week with the cuts growing.
I want to see the media generate the hysteria week after week. This is a long term process and not even the big show.
This is over the budgetary period underway already so mostly those horses are out of the barn. The real show will be when the Ryan budget starts being fought over then the real fire works will start. Let the RATs go nuts over this one it will reduce the impart of their next hissy fit when the Ryan cuts are considered. And, maybe, at some point the voters will see through them enough to blast them out of the Senate.

Another round starts next week Actually, I'm pretty sure that the deal struck tonight is for the rest of fiscal 2011.
They didn't do the one week $12 B; they did a $40 B one.
If I'm correct about this, the Ryan budget should be front and center very soon.
