The deal right now is that the military will get paid on the 15th, for all pay earned through today. But we will not get pay for the upcoming week, even though we will still have to show up for work.

This is because Democrats think that funding Planned Parenthood abortion mills is more important than the constitutional mandate to defend the country.

There are no words to explain how I feel about their priorities. But I’m thinking that we should bring back the old custom of tar and feathers...

I feel sorry for your son. This is beyond nuts that we have a kenyan klown for a p-Resident. So what will your son and his fellow soldiers do, if I may ask?

The dims abhor the military and it’s entire culture.

The abortion industry is probably working as a money laundring operation for the dim politicians. Like the unions. Only makes sense as to why dims fight like hell to protect “planned parenthood”. Look at who the dims defend and you will see their funding.

Soldiers vote (unless the Dems ‘lose’ their absentee ballots). And they have family and friends who vote as well. Everyone WILL remember this next year.

I have very unhappy sons after notifications today. Seriously when are we going to start making Obama drive a clown car instead of using Army 1? He shouldn’t treat our troops as like a joke and still expect a ride.

On the Armstrong and Getty talk show this a.m., the wife of a soldier in Afganistan called in and said her husband told her his pay had already been cut. He also told her that the troops are angry! The RATs will bear the results of that anger in November 2012.

yah...our Daughter is at Fort Hood where her new husband is getting ready to deploy to Iraq in a couple of weeks, and she is shitting kittens about how she is going to pay her bills next week. The Missus and I are prepared to help out, and for now we’re trying to keep her calmed down.

What really sucks about this is that DFAS put up the pay cuts on the online Leave and Earnings Statements today with a debit for half of everyone’s pay. No prior word. No heads up to anyone’s CO.

Payday isn’t until the 15th, and I think we can keep our daughter from panicing until then, but after that who knows...

Inexcusable.

The House GOP plan is the following:

1. Fund the DoD and pay Military salaries for the next 6 months -- until the end of Fiscal 2011 in September.

2. Provide Stop-Gap funding for one week only. Then the Government is shutdown.

3. Keep the GOP House Riders. These are important.

If the GOP sticks to its guns, it means deep cuts will happen.

The Democrats have used scare tactics in the past.

Regardless of if the Government is shutdown or not, military will earn salaray, but after two weeks cannot be paid, if there is a shutdown, and the Democrats and the President throw the House GOP plan.

Basically, the House GOP plan uses DoD (Dept of Defense) spending levels at Previously agreed upon levels...

How about if they don’t pay the pilots for Air Force One? How about if they cut off the fuel for Obama’s private 747? He could sit at home and forgo the vacation like everyone else.

Military votes don't count anyway. This is why Obama and the Democrats don't really shiv a git about the military pay. Any disgruntled military votes won't see the light of day when the election is held.

When the government was shut down in 1995, military personnel continued to report to work and were paid, but the planning guidance sent to the services and defense agencies says a shutdown this time will be different. “All military personnel will continue in normal duty status regardless of their affiliation with exempt or non-exempt activities,” says the draft planning guidance that was prepared for the services and defense agencies. “Military personnel will serve without pay until such time as Congress makes appropriated funds available to compensate them for this period of service.” During the 1995 shutdown, the Clinton Administration followed the OMB guidance issued during the Reagan Administration. The Obama Administration, it seems, is tacking a different direction. Let me be clear, the guidelines proposing to hold military paychecks are, according to the news reports, draft guidelines. It is possible the Obama Administration has abandoned these punitive guidelines. And, even if they implemented these guidelines, military personnel would most likely eventually receive their pay, once a budget agreement is reached. But, why even change the policy and subject our military to partisan political battles. The policy is certainly a change, but it doesn’t provide much hope. Hopefully, they will clear this up quickly.

There are no pay cuts for the Military.

And the House GOP plan allows the Government to be shutdown, but Military Salaries to be paid for the next 6 months -- in full.

The Democrats love to use scare tactics. Apparently, the Democratic propaganda machine is clearly at work right now.
