This deal lets the federal government limp through another few months. Ryan’s budget is the only hope to save the country.
LOL at your lack of perspective.
Ya know a real man of convictions does what he thinks is right and does not worry about his standings...all this shows is that Republicans talk the talk but do not walk the walk.. so anyone that think we will not have socialized medicine because men of substance will stan up to it..just forget it..Mr Smith is not in Washington.
...They will let those that will be politically affected vote no to cover their asses.. but they are all to blame
Ridiculous.
I don't know specifically. What I do know is that he would cut the ridiculous spending and, unlike our present "leadership", he will not be pushed around by the Dems, or anyone else.
The Senate put the CR on the schedule but they have two versions, one with and without the riders. Could this be what the congressman is referring to?
Republicans throwing social conservatives under the bus, yet again.
He said he was very disappointed with the bill ...
Has it been confirmed yes or no?
The Congressional GOP seems to be trading the policy language for deeper spending cuts. And behind that approach is a strategy to make the 2012 budget the main effort, including forcing through the policy measures likely to be delayed for now.
This permits the House GOP to use investigations, hearings, and reports to develop facts and educate the public on the financial and policy issues. In addition, the approach of the 2012 elections and rising interest rates will strengthen the GOP case.
My surmise is that public opinion will shift toward the GOP position in the coming months and that in the budget process Obama and the Democrats will yield ground that they are now contesting. That will permit the GOP to press their advantage.
wheres the link? If you don’t have a link you’re wasting people’s time with unsubstatiated rumors.
Not a single news source from either end of the political spectrum backs up your unsubstantiated claim.
See my post #50, below.
The GOP still would have gotten $12 B in cuts which is more than the $100 B annualized they've been gunning for...
Faith in the GOP? You gotta be kidding! :)
Do you believe it now? What you saw yesterday was political theater with each side agreeing to the parts
