The only reason to visit California, unless you have relatives there, is to see the parks and the seashore. Yosemite, Sequoia, King's Canyon, Lassen, Lake Tahoe, the coastline: always worth seeing. Maybe throw in the old missions and the vineyards. The cities, forget it.
