I also noticed (compared to NHK news) the anchors sound more like PDHs and scientists in Japan and ours sound more like Jr High School kids with their content and questions.
Our nation has been dumbed down. Now it’s showing with our reporters.
Here's what Obama's Vietnam would be... Let's say there was no North Vietnam and only one nation "Vietnam" and the communist rebels were fighting the government so we send our troops to Vietnam to fight along side the communist rebels against the government.
Obama's Libya is even worse than that scenario because the Vietnamese never actually flew airplanes into the Twin towers and the Pentagon and killed 3000 innocent Americans.
Obama's allies did and wish to do it again.
No argument here. My lord, did you ever think you would see the day that a propaganda arm of Russia has more accurate news than cbs, nbc, cnn, abc, etc. I weep for the children.
Where was Sheik Obama when the Iranians were trying to overthrow the mullahs?
So, now we are supporting Al Quaeda?
So, now we are supporting Al Quaeda?
For the news I always went to the Voice Of America, HCJB Quito Ecuador (American run), BBC, CBC Canada, France, Germany, Kol Israel broadcasts in english.
For the fun of it I'd listen to Radio Moscow (Now called the Voice of Russia), Radio Beijing, Radio Havana Cuba (which is as full of propaganda now as it was then), North Korea, Vietnam just to hear and study their techniques on broadcasting their propaganda. Nothing was ever said positive about the United States.
When the space blew up in the 1980s Radio Moscow reported that it was carrying weapons and concluded they were bombs that must have gone off that caused the explosion. I almost think they claimed they were nuclear.
Most of those on the list have changed considerably with the exception of Cuba and North Korea. They're still back in the 1950s and 1960s. No change what so ever. Cuba still signs on with: "This is Radio Hanvana Cuba. Free terroritory in the Americas"
Vietnam is almost to the level of credibity as Russia now. Much less anti-American but still very pro-Vietnam. But then again... that's the way it should be.
I stopped listening to the Voice of America in the later part of the Clinton years somewhere during the Elian Gonzales and Election 2000.
I was in support of Clinton's (and not the republicans stance on the Elian case). I felt he should be with his father. That was the only issue of his I ever really was not against.
The reason why I stopped listening to the Voice Of America was because even though in the english broadcasts they were supportive of Clinton's returning the boy back to Cuba (understandably so... the VOA represents the US Government)
But the VOA in spanish was totally opposite! They were bashing Clinton and against the boy going back. Obviously back in that time most of the spanish speaking radio announcers working for the Voice of America were Cuban Americans.
Then as Election 2000 approached I noticed the Voice of America was very anti-Bush and came close to pretty drawing a doom and gloom picture of a possible Presidency to the world of listers. I lost respect and they lost credibility with me at that point.
I do not listen to the VOA now.
*space = space shuttle
Nice to be living under the most transparent administration in US history, huh.
