Why does Maher disrespect women, wives and mothers? Could be his personal life.

From Wikipedia

Maher has never married. In 2003, he began dating former Playboy Cyber Girl Coco Johnsen. In November 2004, at the end of their 17-month relationship, she sued him for USD $9 million for “pain and suffering” for alleged “insulting, humiliating and degrading racial comments.” Her suit
stated that Maher promised to marry her and father her children, support her financially, and purchase a Beverly Hills home. Her suit also alleged that she quit her job as a flight attendant and occasional model to be with him. Maher’s lawyers in their response filed on November 23, 2004, in Los Angeles Superior Court said Maher is a “confirmed bachelor, and a very public one at that” who “never promised to marry [Johnsen] or to have children with her.”

Maher’s filing stated that “When the dating ended, [Johnson] (sic) launched a campaign to embarrass, humiliate, and extort ridiculous sums of money from Bill Maher.” Johnsen accused another former boyfriend of rape and kidnapping in 1997, and the charges were later dismissed for lack of evidence. Her lawsuit against Maher was dismissed on May 2, 2005.

Maher is a disgusting piece of garbage which hardly matters in the face of horrendous events facing this planet...have been off FR for a month or so...it was very depressing reading about this world and it’s people - nothing ever really changes if you think about it. We still have a jerk for president and until that problem is solved, NOTHING will change for the better. The Republicans have no one who will win and therein lies a problem...this jerk will be president again for another term, simply by default...and by then it may be too late.

I give this guy no attention and don’t think he should receive any publicity for his intellectually limited remarks.

Just know that not so deep down, he’s a miserable wretch who probably despises himself.

Out of a canon point blank at a brick wall.

Bill Maher should be put in a room for 5 minutes with Todd Palin - problem solved.

He wouldn't last five minutes. Five seconds more likely.

That sounds about right. I’ve seen several references to “degenerate gamblers” in the movies. Degenerate gamblers are people who gamble away everything. They can’t stop even when they’re losing everything. In the same vein, I frequently refer to “degenerate liberals”. To be a successful in Hollywood, especially as a comedian who “makes it”, you have to be degenerate liberal.

I don’t know how Bill Maher got to be the judge of who is intelligent and who isn’t for the liberals. I wouldn’t trust that bastard to make my coffee and fetch my newspaper. If I were king, he’d be a dishwasher in a restaurant run by liberals. They talk about looking out for the little guy but they are notorious for treating the hired help like crap! They think it’s an earned privilege or something.

I had the misfortune of watching about 5 minutes of his program while staying at a hotel.

5 minutes embedded in my mind that I truly wish they made brain bleach for.

A sick, depraved, classless and absolutely pathetic excuse of a human being.

The last funny guys that made really laugh were Don Rickles and the roast guys from years ago. They did not drop any F bombs and other swear words. They were not PC either, but always said they were having fun and God Bless everyone.

Not to worry. This, too, will pass.

He has a right to spew his vitriol.

There used to be departments of Standards and Practices at the networks and even on cable.

Pitifully, those departments don't exist anymore and TV has become a cesspool of vulgarity.

But the consumer still has the ultimate power to boycott advertisers. Money talks.

Thanks P-Marlowe!

That list can be cut and pasted to any correspondence with Time-Warner. Just reading the dozens of outlets that can be boycotted could put a real damper on Maher's creative tongue.

Bill identifies himself as Jewish (mother's side). Therefore according to the Futurists, you put your soul in peril for "cursing Abraham" if you fancy any impediments or inconveniences to his life.

We don't want to cause earthquakes on the New Madrid fault.

Thanks for that list. The only one we use is Road Runner for email. Don’t think the wife will give that up.

lol. His mother was Jewish and his father Roman Catholic. Apparently that dichotomy created some fierce anxiety in him that finds only vain and destructive outlets.

As a kid in the 70s, I liked Steve Martin’s TV specials. At least he had humor clean enough to be on TV (TV then, not the outright gutter trash they allow to be on now). I also really liked Carol Burnett, I used to watch that religiously when I was about 10 years old.

Don Rickles and the roast guys were good, too. I had to catch them on re-runs and tape way after their original airings, though. Better late than never, I guess.

Too bad these days are gone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpVjW30I-YU
