No question the Bay Area is overrepresented: Brown, Harris, Feinstein, Newsom and Lockyer. Boxer might officially reside in Rancho Mirage but she has more in common with Berkeley.
Controller John Chiang (D) is from Los Angeles as is the Dem. Assembly Speaker.
San Diego doesn't have anyone on the scene likely to move up. Mayor Sanders (R) is termed out in 2012. I don't see any of the congressional delegation, Issa, Bilbray or Hunter "Jr.", running against DiFi.
Good old Prop 14. We could have DiFi vs Mark Leno.
Write-Ins aren't allowed so there'd never been a situation like AK or CT had with incumbents pushed out and running as "independents."
That’s okay.... John and Ken will smack her around a little to bolster their street cred and then when a viable opponent arises they will annihilate them with their broccoli or heads on a stick crap... and she can slide into victory just like SENATOR Boxer and Jerry Brown. I wonder if Boxer and Brown ever properly thanked John and Ken?????
