“Theres another childrens hospital here that works really closely with Glennon on rare and critical cases like this.”
####
I didn’t know St. Louis Children’s Hospital had a collaborative arrangement with Cardinal Glennon.
That is good to know.
The bottom line, as us locals know, for ill children, there is no better place on the planet, than St. Louis.
Just because you are a Canadian does not mean you should try to “prove” a negative.
We Americans aren’t afraid to criticize Obamacre, including covering abortion which is part of Obamacare.
My sister married a Canadian, and her father-in-law was not afraid to tell me that he did not like Canadian’s “health”care. In fact, when he was very ill, and hospitalized for a long time (and disabled forever), he told the doctors, and others off, and said they took the easy way out. Maybe it was because they were very understaffed, because socialized medicine runs out of money too easily.
You said, “This sounds very hopeful, imo.”
I provided a link that explains exactly what Joseph’s medical condition is and what really happened concerning Joseph’s so called “rescue” in London . If the link wasn’t helpful in understanding Joseph’s future or if you’re not interested in the truth , that’s your negativity , not mine.
The fact that I’m Canadian has nothing to do with it .
There are many threads right on FR about Baby Jospeh’s medical condition, plus I talked with a nurse about it. The tracheotomy will help Joseph to live longer and make him more comfortable. Isn’t that what health care is about.
Here’s one of many informative pieces, with link:
“February 17, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - One-year-old Joseph Maraachli of Windsor, Ontario, who was to have his life support removed Monday at 10 am. against his parents wishes, will now not die on the day that Ontario residents celebrate as Family Day. A hustle by pro-life and anti-euthanasia groups resulted in a change in legal counsel, which has led to at least a temporary stay of removal of the childs ventilator.

Monday at 10 am. they will kill my baby, Moe Maraachli, Josephs father, had told LifeSiteNews shortly after the ruling. Theres no more humanity. Theres no more chance. Ive tried everything for him. No more appeals, nothing.
Joseph was taken to Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario in October where he was diagnosed with severe neurological issues. Doctors gave him no chance of recovery. Moe and his wife Sana have asked doctors to perform a tracheotomy so that they could take Joseph home, but the doctors refused, saying the procedure was too risky.
The Maraachlis daughter died from similar complications eight years ago, but in that case doctors performed a tracheotomy and they were able to take her home. Josephs parents want the same for him.”
“This procedure, which creates an opening into the windpipe through an incision in the front of the neck, allows Joseph to be more comfortable.”
