Your government at work. I have decided that the FDA needs to be abolished, and we need to start all over again.

The FDA, let's see , isn't that the same group that banned a drug (Darvon, Darvocet)that been used for 50 years and hundreds of million doses that they now deemed “ineffective and dangerous”? Any smart pharm company should jump on the propoxyphene development channel, change a methyl group and come out with a new SUPERDRUG that now costs $25/dose as compared to the 3-5 cents/dose for the original.

The reality is that the federal government is a legalized extortion racket. That entity is no different than the mafia, except they have the backing of the FBI and all other federal LE agencies. Sorry.

The government is the legalized mob.

Same issue with GHB. It was a cheap supplement readily available in healthfood stores that acted as a fantastic sleep aid (and helps with fibromyalgia by promoting stages 3 or 4 sleep that are the restorative levels). But it got a bad rap as “the date rape drug” and is now called Xyrem, costs $1,800/mth, and is distributed through a single pharmacy. Instead, the FDA would rather people take the less effective, more toxic Ambien and perform many of their normal daily activities, like driving a car, while actually being asleep.
