Not really. I believe WKA was wrongly decided, but I also believe it leaves it as settled law that you can have a foreign-born parent(s) and still be considered a NBC.
However, ever since JFKerry refused to release his military records, I’ve believed we need a federal law that says a candidate for federal office has no privacy rights concerning his birth, military, health, education, tax & employment records.
That would allow anyone to order a copy of Obama’s Harvard records, or Kerry’s military records, or GWB’s tax returns, etc. How can we decide to hire someone if we cannot find out how they did their jobs, how well they did in school, or when they were born?
Since a federal law isn’t likely - what Congresscritter will agree to reveal HIS information - then a state law like what AZ proposed in 2010 and 2011 makes sense. Let us at least see birth records! And I wrote to my state rep supporting those efforts, although they haven’t passed.
But I can’t apply to go to the UofA without letting them see my transcripts from my BS & MBA. So how can someone run for the highest office without revealing what he studied, the grades he got, where he has worked and what his employers thought of him, basic medical records, etc?
It seems to me that this, at least, ought to unite all Freepers, and would justify holding protests wherever Barry & the GOP candidate go until they release their records.

All good points! It's just so frustrating. I can't remember any other president in my lifetime who was that secretive, and you would think that in itself would raise all sorts of red flags not only among us anti Obama people, but how on earth do even his supporters explain this.
1)It is very likely that Obama is not a natural born citizen and therefore a usurper. It is also possible that there could be a breakthrough in the legal or public relations sphere that just might force Obama to prove his eligibility. The Constitution is so fundamental to our liberty that, even if the chances are remote, we must not give up our efforts to defend it.
2) If it were not for the birthers and their tireless work to bring this issue to the attention of the public by way of message boards; Facebook; and personal contact with friends, relatives and neighbors; we would not now have large swaths of the population who **KNOW** there is a problem and have an opinion about it.
Without the birthers, Obama might have skated into the White House as easily in 2012 as he did in 2008. His natural born citizenship **will** definitely face far more scrutiny in 2012.

Why would you, or anyone else, think that Congressman Issa would open an investigation into himself and the others of the 111th, as to how none of them made an objection after the counting of the electoral votes, of a person who was born owing allegiance to a foreign crown?
Think he wants to expose his own shortcoming? Nothing interesting there. Should be fully expected he’d ignore the issue. He’s 100% invested in the narrative having been a participant of the 111th Congress.
Congressman Issa was in the MINORITY with no power during the 111th Congress. All he need say now is “there’s a new sherriff in town and things are changing for the better.” Isn’t that why millions of Americans went to the polls and deposed the Pelosi regime?
