Um, after reading some other threads here at FR, it seems the Saudis and Egyptians have already turned against us; I can’t say we ‘lost’ what we never really possessed, if you catch my meaning.
Supposedly the Saudis have cut oil deals with the Chinese.
Obama is incompetent as President and is achieving what many Tea Party people want: for the U.S. to stop being used as the world’s police and bring our troops home.

I lived in Egypt 1997-2000. Never heard of El Baradei until he showed up in Iraq for the UN.
The Egyptians call him the CNN candidate.

well, i looked it up. “petard” is from the french “to fart” but its real meaning is a kind of medieval shaped charge used to blow gates and such. the meaning of the phrase is that you get blown up by your own bomb.
