Whatever

I point out facts that you yourself can checkout, facts mind you, and you say "Whatever"?

Don't confuse things with the facts I guess?

Surely as a health care professional you understand that by far the most radiological over exposures and radiological and toxic biological waste that are produced is from the medical industry. Should we shut it down? are you going to go to the extreme to deny it? It is also a fact BTW.

Oh! I was under the impression that you were an anti-nuke activist. There has been so much misinformation “contamination” in the last week, that I suppose I have been a little quick on the draw.

It’s odd to be lectured about reactors by keyboard commandos when I used to operate them for the navy. How many people have actually heard of Zircaloy or Cesium-137 before last week? Now everyone is an expert.

So, sorry for misrepresenting what you were trying to say. I have to say that I would have to agree with your last post. BTW, my grandfather flew for the USAAF in CBI ‘44-45. To this day, he still finds it hard to believe he made it. Sorry to hear about your brother.

Nah, this area has had nuclear power for decades. Sure there is danger but what will be will be without any help from us.If it is not this, then another tornado will hit this area or there will be floods, snow, ice or whatever. I just hate the idea of the government lying to us about anything. We are adults. Tell the truth, tell us what to do or how to do it better and we will survive. I just found I was very fascinated by Chernobyl and simply could not remember what if anything we were told about it. Boy, I have spent nearly 100 hours since Japan reading up on Chernobyl. I have learned a lot and just wish I could learn more about what the crew on the bombers went through way back then. That could be my next project.

"Not only didn't happen overnight it didn't happen at all. There has been numerous studies by all kind of health organizations. It was a very bad event and many areas are still contaminated and will be for a long time so you don't need to make up numbers."
I grew up in that area (Kiev). I was 8 years old when the accident happened. Frankly, I don't trust any Soviet estimates or any studies based on the Soviet estimates or data. The IAEA was working with the Soviets and had a vested interest in minimizing the negative impact from the disaster.

I understand your point and agree but WANO, INPO and other industry based organizations had a vestige interest in knowing the truth. The entire Chernobyl incident indeed the entire soviet nuclear program (civilian and military) is a monument to the horrors of socialism, communism and central planning. The same is true BTW with crony capitalism.
