When there are no repercussions from ones actions, what's to stop them from repeating their actions?

I knew this would happen the very moment I heard of the penalties. If it had been vice versa, you can bet Dems would have followed through.

When you don’t discipline a VERY NAUGHTY CHILD, what happens?
They UP the bad behavior because they KNOW there are NO CONSEQUENCES.
BIG MISTAKE.
The GOP needs to GROW UP TOO!

Naughty undisplined little kids AWAYS “prmise” to be good but have NO INCENTIVE to be good because there are NO CONSEQUENCES. Extracting money from a Demoncrat would be like hangning them fromtheir findgernails. They are only good at spending YOUR money and excusing themselves from paying any of their money.

Nothing like demoralizing the GOP base ahead of the recall elections. There is something genetic about Republicans inability to act with the ruthlessness of Democrats and to handicap themselves.

Time to take up voter ID and get rid of allowing Registration on election day.
To: Puppage
Look at it this way, Wisconsin is a mostly Democrat state. It will be that way for the next half to 3/4 century.
Odds are good the Republicans will need to do the same thing someday.

This seems to be a problem with republicans, even the ones we sent to Washington. Just heard Jed Babbin on a local radio show here in Indy saying the GOP is not in charge. The word is that the dems are still running things.
I don’t know what is wrong with the republicans, but they are going to find themselves being challenged with 3rd party candidates if they fail to lead.

Time to take up voter ID and get rid of allowing Registration on election day.No, the time was when the Dems were AWOL. If they wouldn't do it then, they won't do it now.
To: muawiyah
But at that time the dems would penalize them, this is not lets play fair. this is saving our country, or should be..

We need a reality medical show that lets us see the surgical procedure to remove the spine of politicians. It must happen immediately after they are sworn in.
“Welcome to the political party...there’s just one more stop before you are seated. It won’t take long. A simply procedure to completely remove your spine.”

The GOP got the Big Kahuna (collective bargaining).
Penalties would have seemed liked overkill to many indie voters.
The Dems are currently hanging themselves in WI...they don't need help from the GOP.

We fought a war at great sacrifice and cost so that Iraq can have purple ink voting.
we need a shock and awe on WI.

Big mistake. The unions would have paid the fines anyways. Deplete their coffers a bit and make this count. They will continue to act like little children and run away when things get tough.

You are too young to remember it but there was this IMPEACH EARL WARREN sign up for decades down toward Franklin.
I know the guys who paid for that sign thought of both Democrats and Republicans as being somewhat short of being patriotic.
Many flowers shall bloom eh!
Did you catch my post elsewhere on the experiences of Oliver P. Morton, Civil War Governor, and the need for Republicans to escape to Madison Indiana to avoid being murdered by the Democrats who ran the legislature?
Bet you didn't.
All is not as it seems, and Indiana has a history of quite vigorous, violent even, political debate and conflict.

This seems to be a problem with republicans, even the ones we sent to Washington.
They are consumed with their portrayal in the media, and deep down believe that the left-wing media defines reality. They do not realize that their constitutents can think for themselves. Until they stop worrying about their images in the press (a losing battle, which they also don't get) and start acting on their principles with consequences being damned, they will forever be the kid standing at the seashore ready to dip his toe in the oncoming surf and then running away at the last minute.
