Wow, you sound like you have a marvelous furutre ahead of you!
Thanks,
Take care,

Just trying to keep the family fed, no work here in Alaska during the winter so even allowing for the RT plane fare its basically the only alternative.
I remember working at a large ski resort in the Sierra Nevada mnts. and the seasonal ski patrol were mostly Aussies and Kiwis, they would work a continuous winter year round.
The basic plan is to work the summer there and the summer in Alaska but I think eventually I will be staying in Oz permanently, it will be years before America recovers.
hardest part is giving up most of my possessions as they will either be too expensive to ship or will be taxed. Like my brand new Yamaha 1300cc V-twin with only 1350 miles on it, I’m working on trying to take it with me.
But my most perfect truck a 2002 Silverado dually will have to stay or be sold, along with all my guns naturally, I can live without them and contrary to what most people think you can still have guns in Australia.
I hope others who read this consider just what their options are and how much they will have a few years down the road, or where they live while our southern states are being invaded.
I used to work at a North Idaho ski resort...Ski Schweitzer. I also worked at Sequoia National Park in the Sierras, at Stoney Creek, for many summers. It was fun doing that rec stuff.
Argh, no guns, that’s right! I could never give up my guns...well, good luck to you.

I used to ski there a lot back in the early 70's. It had just opened, I never stood in a line and often felt as though I had the slopes to myself. (I lived about 25 miles South of St. Maries at the time) What a beautiful spot it was!
California reaped their benefit, they are screwed.
I have the same experience in Baltimore. A few times a month I will see someone pull out their “Independence Card” aka Maryland welfare card and buy food while wearing new leather jackets or just buy junk. Then our state government actually runs ads on radio prompting people to come get the support. They do this because if not enough people are on food stamps the Feds will cut back the amount given to a state. Meanwhile I live well but have needed a new jacket for a few years and driving my 10 year old compact into the ground.
I fear the only solution is to get old...somehow retire...disengage as well as you can...pay as few taxes as possible by moving away from urban “black holes”. That is pathetic, I know.
Like I posted before, it will take something happening to the “right” people(s) that will cause something to happen.
Too bad that things have to go to one extreme or the other before action is taken.
In The Bay Area??? The seedbed of self-reliance, rugged individualism and pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps can-do-ism? Who’dathunkit.
Obviously your neighbors.
“The kids are not spawn but American citizens.”
That bastardization of the law needs to also be corrected ASAFP.
We have entered George Orwell’s 1984...
The “Independence Card” signifies “Dependence on the State” in the awkwardly 180 opposite meaning put in by the Statists seeking power via taxpayer-funded mandates to the underclass.
2 + 2 = 5
The Progressives have successfully made generational poverty via Woodrow Wilson, FDR, JFK, LBJ, Carter and Clinton who used every means necessary to steal from the working to pay for the eternally Democratic voting dependent base.
The “Independence Card” shows the Lefts almost blatantly ironic slap at the taxpayers.
Wasn’t it, though?
I loved North Idaho, spent many years there, from Cd’A to Cocolalla, to Hayden, then Hayden Lake, then Sandpoint, then Post Falls on the Rathdrum Prairie...then to the base of Fernan Lake.
I miss that beautiful place.
See ya’,
Ed

He mean (hu)man because he had in mind the coming governance of the King of Kings.
