Rush Limbaugh, Head of the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies, suggests voting for “the most Conservative candidate - period”.
I think endorsements are going to be important in this race. Someone has to get our front & sort it out for the less sure among us.
Also, a Presidential debate would be decisive.
Trump?!?! He praised Clinton during the impeachment.
Trump can only fool the fools who liked Perot in 1992. Perot but with a bigger ego.
So, yes, it should get interesting.
If she were a threat, sure, she would be. As it is, Nancy Pelosi made an all-out effort to defeat Bachmann for re-election last year and failed. (Good.)
I see Michele's route to the top office as taking a detour through the Minnesota governorship (like Ronald Reagan, FDR, Jimmy Carter, Dubya, and Bill Clinton) or, alternatively, via the Senate to the vice-presidency, and then on to the White House -- call that the Nixon-Truman-LBJ model.
She needs some executive experience -- Obama is proving that former U.S. Senators make totally sucky Presidents. (That would have been true of McCain, too, but wasn't true of JFK -- the only other Senator to move directly to the White House.)
Of the people you've got listed as RiNO/RNC picks, only Romney and Daniels likely have any real support among the RiNOrati .... and maybe Pawlenty as a fallback .... I don't think Haley Barbour, despite all his service in the RNC, is really going anywhere. He is from Mississippi, the Outcast Leper State, which makes Barbour a Leper, even if he won the Medal of Honor and the Nobel Peace Prize (which he'd never get because he's a Leper, even if he stopped World War III by himself).
They have to report their contributions and expenditures quarterly. Including how much the candidate Loaned his/her campain in the last quarter. So we will know well in advance if anybody is trying to buy the presidency. At least thats how I look at it. I hope Cain doesnt do that. Part of proving that you are a viable candidate is raising money. If you cant raise money, you can raise votes.
