If Walker compromises, Wisconsin will deserve what it gets. Hopefully Walker will understand that doing the job is more important than keeping the job, and stay the course. I admire his courage.
sssshhhhh.....the Fleabaggers actually believe this poll...don’t tell ‘em otherwise!
So what’s the GOP endgame on this? They need to get this resolved fast. They are losing support, and the longer it goes on, the better it is for the unions. (duh, that’s how unions operate.)
Advice for Scott: Screw the polls - do the Right Thing.
You know, 43% isn’t disastrous
None of this was ever going to come easy when you pull the candy sucker from the baby’s mouth it cries......
He will. It’s also guaranteed that Walker will be subject to a recall after he’s been in office for one year. Were he to cave..he’d lose support from the right...and just about guarantee his defeat.
It’s probably true. They don’t seem to understand that in order to balance the budget, the unions HAVE to make some sacrifices. The people in this poll seem to think Walker can balance the budget by snapping his fingers, and keep all the union benefits, too.
I said yesterday that Walker (and Kasich in OH) are spending valuable political capital on this issue and it could be to their peril (and that of the GOP brand in ‘12).
But the day of reckoning is coming - we need to remember who it was that got us there.
The only poll that really counts is in 4 years.
It's already been somewhat nationalized, so the GOP will take a hit, and the unions will be emboldened. The Daniels/Christie approach is looking smarter every day.
Leaders lead, political cowards read poll numbers.
Is it me. Or is HotAir turning into RINO central... since Michelle sold it?
They seem to regurgitate all the leftwing memes/propaganda and republish them as truth.
One thing you gotta hand to the libs - they have more guts.
Throw in the towel, capitulate to the whims of the masses and prepare for the demise of our Republic. There, wasn’t that easy?
It is so easy to make phony polls.
This is why we have a republic, not a democracy. Governing by poll numbers negates a politician doing what is right, even if it is not popular at the moment. We have elections to decide whether we want to keep a politician. I hate these polls.
