I was very unsettled to see how long it took to calm the rabble down. They have the mob "trained" to respond to a peace sign and the repeated word "peaceful". For how long?

Where in perdition are the Capitol Police?!

** Where in perdition are the Capitol Police?! **

Who knows.

But one thing should be said . . . this is SOP for these unions. Anytime there is something on the docket that would cut their pay or infringe on what they see as their “rights”, this is what they do. Madison is used to seeing this. This is how they treated the Tea Parties when they tried to attend hearings in Madison. This is the kind of pressure lawmakers on both sides face whenever they try to face down the public unions. It’s time to put an end to it.

From what i saw there was no security whatsoever, which given the circumstances and the number of loons these type of mob events attract (along with many misguided but well-intentioned folks), I find astonishing.

And to think these uncivilized thugs are “public servants”...

After what happened to Gabby Giffords, you’d think the local LEOs would be a damned sight more proactive.

I worked in the UW system for years and you always kind of knew which of your creepy fellow employees were just living for moments like this. Most of the state workers are horrified when they see some of their co-workers in action.

Of course not. It’s eye-for-an-eye time and, since the left believe that it was a conservative who shot Ms. Giffords, they believe that it’s their turn to “take out” a republican in exchange. The LEOs are just doing a “professional courtesy” to the members of other unions by “overlooking” certain “minor” behaviors.

As I mentioned on another thread, this is SOP for these public union employees in Madison. I don’t think the Capitol police have realized yet that this time might be different. And, not to forget, they are part of the same union.

Why didn’t he have security? That question needs an immediate answer.

Probably more than a dozen Jareds in that group ~ just a matter of time and one of them will go off.

If the Capitol Police are going to be derelict in their duty, if their membership in a union trumps their commitment to protect and to serve, then they damn well oughta resign because they have no business being in law enforcement and don’t deserve to wear a badge.

“For how long” indeed. I hope I’m wrong, but I see this building until the mob crosses the line. The Dem who stepped up deserves some credit here.

The goons actually think they can change in mid stream and we will fall for it. One minute they are a rabid militia. Then they realize they are on video and it might not look too good. So, they start screaming “PEACEFUL PROTEST” and we are supposed to slap our foreheads and exclaim: “Sheesh, silly me. I thought they were being borderline violent but they are simply a bunch of peaceful protesters!”
Idiots!

m-60s and bulldozers have a way to quell a mob like that.

Glen’s a quiet guy but he’s absolutely fearless - he’s my State Senator.

He went to a “recall Grothman” rally in his home town on Sunday and drives around in a car with the license plate TAX CUTR.
