Charlotte had been working tirelessly, day and night, for decades to sound the alarm re the communising of our schools.

She went to Washington, a Reagan appointee to the Dept of Education - with the goal of helping to fulfill Reagan's promise of dismantling the the Federal Dept.

When she realized he was not going to follow through, she came home and dug in again.

I am a dyed in the wool Reaganite - worked on his unsuccessful 1976 campaign while living in in Calif - and both campaigns when back here in the east.

But my biggest disappointment was his failure to get rid of the Dept of Education. How much misery this country would have been spared.

Charlotte is the Ayn Rand of education. Like Ayn Rand, she lived under Communism and knows wherof she speaks.

Absent educators may be paid to abandon students and march on the Capitol

MacIver News Service | February 21, 2011

[Madison, Wisc...] As Milwaukee Public School teachers left their classrooms to march in Madison Friday, they likely earned more than $3 million to not teach students in Wisconsin’s largest school district.

In Madison, the school district was closed for three days after hundreds of teachers engaged in a mass sick-out so they could attend protest rallies at the State Capitol. That could cost the district $2.7 million...”
