Dr Sowell makes it sound so easy to understand, and really it is...

makes me certain that instead of fighting to win, the rin-o-p is playin rope-a-dope and taking the easy cash for a dive...

I don’t know if it’ll catch on. It’d make for a fairly wide bumper sticker, but maybe as part of a tagline....

I think millions of Americans call themselves “conservative” without any real understanding of the term. Best guess.

keep calling it, the democrat's health care bill and the only thing bipartisan about it, is against it!

BO promised in his campaign for Pres to cut the debt in half in four years, in two he tripled it!!

Again and again say the Obama, reid, pelosi trifecta has added 3.2 trillion to our debt, in TWO YEARS!

BO promised to close Guantanomo in one year, after two it is still opened and the military commissions are in full swing.

They should be at the gas stations while the owners are changing the price upward every week! Where are they?

high tax rates that people don't actually pay do not bring the government as much revenue as lower tax rates that they do pay.
IOW, tax rates are prices on legitimacy. If you set too high a price, the market doesn't bear it and you don't get the money you expect. Arlen Spector, playing a Republican, once asked a witness how much revenue he projected under various tax rate scenarios. As Specter raised the proposed tax rate, the witnes raised his putative tax revenue in a linear fashion, right up to 100%. At which point he gave up, which was his mistake. The correct rhetorical apporach would have been to continue doubling the rhetorical tax rate until that one tax (and it wasn't the income tax) would, under the CBO's linearity assumption, pay the entire federal budget.
