Daily justice is raped by lawyers who "defend the law" and use every loophole they can to get criminals off the hook.
Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

The worst of it is the amount of laws on the books that are meant to cover one or two persons or corporations.
Money changes hands to help a few and the rest of us suffer. But that is never taken into account until another lobbiest comes in
and "helps" another "representative" who then makes another law.

In our country there are litterally hundreds of thousands of laws now.

Far too many. yet convicted criminals who should never see the light of day are walking the streets after they served their time.
Can someone tell me .. how can a child molester, rapist or murderer have served enough time to be released?

I agree.

“What law can’t you understand?”

According to most lawyers, all of them. We non members of the bar should not be allowed to interpret anything from the viewpoint of lawyers. From my viewpoint I understand what they say but often disagree with the judges interpretation. The interpretation is usually to the advantage of the lawyers. Ever been involved in a class action suit? Legalized robbery.

“I know there are laws we don’t like (such as the tax code) but eliminating lawyers wouldn’t eliminate taxes.”

I forgot to mention in the previous post that this isn’t remotely related to the original post, except possibley for the point that many legislators are lawyers. In that case eliminating lawyers would probably help the tax code which is written to obscure not make clear.

The Law is a political invention. Our society has too much politics. Too much government. Too much legislation.

Once a seed is sown and watered the plant will grow. It needs an occasional pruning. We haven't pruned and the plant is taking over the yard.
