I know little about those...I thought that they allowed the utility to charge different rates at different times of the day....and to shut off certain users.

Hanoi John must be going nuts as his bullshit on AGW control goes down the drain.

Per Cedar Hill: "Expect the wild crazy to be tossed (under that really big bus Obama seems to drive) out to avoid subpoenas and the resultant embarrassments when they testify and their written history..."
And that could work for us in the long run. The Kenyan would love to have a two term presidency, and clowns like AxleBrain, love the easy money and power.
Things can be arranged to appear to seek the mid ground... Chu, Holdren, Hansen, Jackson, can be tossed under the bus, and so called neutrals installed.
Snakes are survivors. They operate in stealth mode. The Kenyan is as we have come to understand a perfect snake.
Besides. His other half just loves to waddle around in her high fashions, take expensive tours with the kids etc., gets her away from having to walk the dog around, or most pictures make it look like he is walking her around.
Hell. She even got a million dollar cabbage patch if she wanted it to be constructed. Easy money, high living. Let the old man roam around the halls and go out and sneak smokes. Make the .43M per year on just the salary alone.
The Kenyan can be persuaded to take a more how should we say "reasonable approach" on Environmental and Energy issues. Life is good for them. And hells bells. The Kenyan community organizer does not even have to roam the cold streets of Chicago. He visits a nice warm, if he likes, office to prop his feet upon. The guy has it made.

We have been on time of day use for several years but the new Smart Meters biggest benefit to the utility is to cut labor costs as these meters will eventually eliminate meter readers. I’m not holding my breath waiting for rates to come down because of it...
