Could be. Good thing McCain had a good chance. The GOP is sure smart, aren’t they?

I see Palin becoming an Oil Czar in a future GOP administration.

You better let her know she’s running because she’s said she’s not.

She said she’s “not” 6 months ago. In the last 3 weeks, no one has made more noise or hinted more strongly about running than Michele, except Cain.

Well no, I don’t think she would be tough to beat. I think she should take a stab at knocking off Klobuchar in 2012 rather than in a foolhardy run for the White House.

Bachmann will be tough to beat.

In your dreams pissant. Although I like her she's not a contender. Not even close. Best thing she can do is not burn any bridges and shoot for a VP slot.

Primary infighting already.

Well the MSM as I type this is celebrating Obama’s approval numbers from his speech in Az. STILL.

They are saying if Obama shows his moderacy in action he will win again in 2012.

I think independent voters see right through Obama and he is politically done.

Independent voters like Bachmann. Why are people pulling for Palin and dissing all others when she is not even close to saying she is running?

Bachmann and many others have stayed low profile and not jumped out the gate too early.

Palin was UNFAIRLY Alinskized.

But who ever told ya life was fair lied to ya. I think Palin should file a libel lawsuit on the media I think she is outstanding all around, personally and politically.

Primary infighting in normal everyone for Palin and PALIN ONLY should wisely cool their jets down and take a deep breathe.

I’m sorry but just because Palin is exciting, doesn’t make someone else unelectable. Frankly I love ‘em both both but I have heard Bachmann speak, I have heard Palin speak. In a two way debate there would be no doubt that Bachmann is the politician that those of substance want running their country, while those that need to feel “excited” would clearly support Palin.

I say this all while also telling any who read it that I do not care who the GOP nominee is, they get my vote in the general. In the primary? If these two women are in it, I’d lean slightly for Michelle, but would have no problem voting for Sarah.....just so long as I don’t have to listen to her.

So it looks like Bachman/Palin will be the way conservative votes are split in this primary, like Huckabee/Hunter/Thompson were in the last primary. I wonder if Tim Pawlenty (aka John McCain, Jr.) is going to be the RINO who steps forward to benefit from this. Bachman and Pawlenty are both from Minnesota.

LOL I see your point but Palin has not even announced.

The media are pushing Huckabee.

Is there anything preventing a Congress person from being elected ?

There is NOTHING preventing ANY natural born citizen of 35 years of age or older from being elected. I was stating a fact: We don’t usually elect people who only have “Congressman” on their resume. There have only been two such in 234 years - James Garfield and Abraham Lincoln (both in the 19th Century) and none have even been nominated since then.

The important bottom line question is...

Obama is pulling a Clinton. Will Independent voters fall for it?

I don’t really have a side here, as I like both Bachmann and Palin, and think both are pissed off enough to slash gov’t enormously, and tell the establishment to go screw as they do it. But I do want to point out to you, Conservatives are quintessential Americans. We love battles, competitions, and conflict, sometimes a little too much.

I think most of the support for candidates thus far tends to be weak. However, since we like conflict and battle, if you come out and attack a candidate, those who were leaning weakly for him/her, will suddenly entrench their position, and fight with you just to satiate their urge to fight. As that occurs, a weak supporter for your candidate’s opposition becomes a strong supporter, and your candidate is left weaker.

Last go around, I did not like Romney. But his supporters here could have had me walking on broken glass and hot coals to destroy his candidacy. I think you may be doing the same for Bachmann here, and in so doing, solidifying support for Palin.

To harness the urge to battle for Bachmann’s benefit, Bachmann herself would need to come out, and tear down Romney for being Liberal. A lot of the people presently for Palin and denigrating Bachmann, might actually consider Bachmann then, as firstly, there would be a battle to draw them in, and in that battle, they would ally with Michelle. That weak support could rapidly be built upon, and strengthen as the battle progressed.

As I’ve said before, I like you, and think you’re hilarious, but you’re shooting yourself in the foot here and creating division where there need be none.

Let’s not all do the same thing we did last time, and end up with Romney, and then Obama.

Bachmann has represented more people than Palin for a longer time and hasn’t quit.

Since when did quitters become the new winners in the Republican Party?
