How about Bush-Bush with Bush in reserve.
I’m willing to give a mulligan or two but any farther straying from conservatism than that, and they won’t get my vote. 2004 w/ GWB was the last man I voted for less than a rock-ribbed conservative. It won’t happen again. That eliminates many of the “top” names for me.
There is only one Bush that I like, and I don’t call it Jeb or George..
With Herman Cain in the list can we use the term “dark horse” any more, or is it raaaaaacist?
For the record, I think Cain would be a good candidate, as would several others, but haven’t made up my mind yet.
I think Romney and Huckabee represent two vaguely different types of theocracy.
Like some other posters, I don’t plan to give to any party, unless the new RNC chair shows me a LOT of resistance to the cucumber-sandwich Pubbie elites.
Rove-Gingrich. Cut out the middleman and just make the guy President. He’s the brains behind the party. /s.
Pray tell, what is unconservative about Palin? If you can, please be specific. Oh, and try not to repeat back to me RINO, Demrat and libertarian talking points.
The reality is that, of the actual conservative possibles, Palin’s the only one that’s been tested. And she’s the only one of the possibles who’ve been relentlessly and effectively battling the Marxists. Her rebuttal to the demrats claim she was responsible for the AZ shootings was a wonderful lesson about our Constitution.
DeMint and the newly elected so-called conservatives have not yet done much that’s meanigful. Of course, the Bush tax cuts were temporarily extended, but not one wit was done about spending except to allow the demrats to increase it.
Thanks, I hadn’t seen that.
Well who has shown courage recently? Remember, the entire tea party was indicted for the murder of a child and five others. Who stood up? I rest my case. Dark horses alright, hiding in the dark shadows. Unless I missed it only Sarah and T-Paw said boo. Again, I may have missed it.
Lots of folks stood up. Most of them before Palin. They just didn’t Palin-esque coverage.
Who? I have been reading about this non-stop. If you have a sec to throw a few names at me I’d appreciate it P.
- any bank "too big to fail" needs to be broken up
- no more borrowing from the government at 0% and lending to it at 5%
- time to value bank assets at market and bring transparency to balance sheets
I'm not overly optimistic that I will hear this from anyone who is seeking the GOP nomination.
Ok. OK.. gees , how about Ivanka then? We could use a snazzy dresser in the WH. 8-]
“Rock ribbed conservative” can mean different things to different people. So, when we finally have our nominee, I hope it’s someone the widest number of people on the Right can support. We will need every vote plus at least some independents to defeat Obama and the Leftist machine. I’m not willing to wait through another four years of his presidency. It would be disasterous.

Cain covered this extensively on his radio show.
Pence was on Lars Larson last monday or tuesday night and poured water on the notion that Palin or heated rhetoric had anything to do with it. Then came out again on the same day Palin did.

Much appreciated. It will be interesting when I read these to see how long it took some of them. Better late than never though.
Well, as we saw with the Rudy wars last time here, there were plenty of folks who thought that Rudy was a great conservative based on things such as being a good crime fighter, being abrasive to certain liberal groups, and ‘leadership’.
Well, yeah, he was OK on those things. But when it came the the 2nd Amendment, abortion, the 4th amendment, the 10th Amendment, the gay agenda, sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, state tax cuts, welfare reform, etc., he was as awful as any democrat.
Like I said, a mulligan or two. Not a laundry list.
“Well, there are alot of wes that arent for Palin.”
I like Barbour
Palin is quicker in getting her words out than any politician in the last 50 years, this is a sign she says what she believes! Finally, someone who tells the Truth!
Some people seems to think a woman cant run this country, thats another reason why she needs to be the first woman President!
She would do a lot to hurt the men having sex with men lifestyle, Normal would be back in again! Thats probably the biggest reason that the anti Palin freepers keeping spurring out all the same negatives Reagan lived with, yes, our token liberal democrat Trolls and with their sick lifestyle!
