Who is to blame for our sorry state of violence-infused rhetoric and political hate speech ... the fish rots from the head:
* If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Barack Obama in July 2008
* I want you to argue with them and get in their face! Barack Obama, September 2008
* Heres the problem: Its almost like theyve got theyve got a bomb strapped to them and theyve got their hand on the trigger. You dont want them to blow up. But youve got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger. Barack Obama on banks, March 2009
* I dont want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! Im angry! Barack Obama on ACORN Mobs, March 2010
* We talk to these folks so I know whose ass to kick. Barack Obama on the private sector, June 2010
* A Republican majority in Congress would mean hand-to-hand combat on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy. Barack Obama, October 6, 2010
* Were gonna punish our enemies and were gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us. Barack Obama to Latinos, October 2010
I forget. What's the name of that guy who has a regular segment called, "The Worst Person In The World!"?
Oh, yeah. And what network is he on?
Looks like the Matthews family married into a kind of Levi Johnston family - only on a titanic level. Karma’s a bitch.
Interesting.. I hadn’t heard a word till your post.
I think the reasons Chrissie is now targeting Levin and Savage are these:
He knows these two men openly dislike each other. Therefore, neither is likely to come to the defense of the other.
He knows Savage is not well liked by the talkers with the biggest microphones. ie, Limbaugh and Beck. Nor is he well-regarded by Fox News commentators, such as O’Reilly and Hannity. Therefore, neither of those men are likely to defend Savage.
He knows Levin is not as well known as many of the other talkers and pundits, and therefore Chrissie is not likely to draw as much fire for defaming him.
Chrissie has concluded, and he’s probably correct, that he can continue with the same vitriolic, hateful rhetoric of blaming talk radio by choosing targets that aren’t likely to cause much blowback or defense. In other words, Chrissie is an imbecilic coward. But we already knew that.
BTW, listening to either of them is enough to give one a severe nooyawk headache, requiring a week's vacation in Maine or Alabama.
Chris Matthews on Tuesday blamed conservative talk radio hosts Mark Levin and Michael Savage for creating the climate of hate that led to Saturday's shootings in Tucson, Arizona. On Wednesday, FBN's Don Imus and his sidekick Bernard McGuirk went after the "angry," "vile," "psycho," "spittle-spewing" MSNBCer...Thanks Nachum.
