I think now the R’s have a chance to handle this correctly, and let the D’s fall on their own swords. Speaker Boehner, acting like an adult, is off to a good start, postponing normal business and taking charge of security.
I think the R’s need to stand clear as the dirty little secrets and facts about this perp and his leftist associations come to light. Let it ALL be on them.

The Democrat’s acusatory rhetoric itself is doing more to contribute to the polarization of the nation than the shooter’s action ever did. It is an obvious attempt to supress any open debate concerning dissent with the progressive agenda, the administration and the government. It is a challenge to conservatives who dare express and act on their beliefs. It is an agressive attack on free speech and the right of citizen’s to organize in political action. Through its rhetoric, the left has clearly replaced the shooter with the Tea Party and Sarah Palin. They have shown how little tolerance they have for dissent.
The shooter is the responsible party. The story should be about the victims and the shooter. His motivations are unknown, but his mental state is suspect. He has no verifiable affiliation with andy conservative group. It is an obscenity that the left has hijacked this story into a political attack for the purpose of quashing conservative opposition.
For the record:
One veteran Democratic operative, who blames overheated rhetoric for the shooting, said President Barack Obama should carefully but forcefully do what his predecessor did.
“They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”
Another Democratic strategist said the similarity is that Tucson and Oklahoma City both “take place in a climate of bitter and virulent rhetoric against the government and Democrats.”
This Democrat said that the time had come to insist that Republicans stand up when, for example, a figure such as Fox News commentator Glenn Beck says something incendiary.
Where do they get these ideas from?

The Rev. Al Sharpton: " In church services tomorrow clergymen ought to address the senseless violence that has too often raised its head of late in the social and political discourse of this country. We call on a thorough and expedited investigation of all aspects of this act." Al your purist make-over is found wanting.....
Ms. Pelosi: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D, Calif.) calls the shooting a “terrible act of violence” and “a national tragedy.”....not reading a 2000+ health care bill wasn't a national tragedy?

Hitler did the exact same thing with the events leading up to Kristalnacht. In that case, Herschel Grynszpan (sometimes spelled “Greenspan”) killed a German diplomat in France which Hitler used as a pretext for Kristalnacht.
So OKC was a bit more like the Reichstag fire, but this more recent event, is a bit more like the events of Nov. 1938.
Look, you folks out there just don’t get it. The Democrat Party is in serious trouble of becoming the looney political party. They cannot believe the beating they took on November 2, 2010. They will be taking a worse beating come 2012 when they lose both houses and the POTUS slot. Just look at the hate and venom spewed by Democrats and their media lock-steppers. Do you think the majority of the American voters believe any of this pack of lies and spin!!! And, POTUS Obama strutted out said a couple of words and walked away. Where was the compassion, where was wife Michelle, who should have been at his side? Nope, not in sight!!! What a leader you have chosen Mr. & Mrs. America!!! What a heartless first lady you put in the White House. Boy, I never thought I would see the day that America would act without class, compassion, understanding, unification, religion, family togetherness, but I was dead wrong. Ashamed of my country, and praying to our Lord in heaven to bless, watch over, protect, and take into heaven all those poor innocent folks, wounded or killed by this lunatic killer. All these good souls and decent Americans, most of all, this congresswoman, are true American heroes!!! My prayers, love and sympathy are with these fellow Americans!!! Many people attribute West Virginia's then-Governor Joe Manchin's Senate campaign ad ("Dead Aim"), where he shot a rifle bullet through the cap and trade bill, as turning the election around for him.
Pundits heralded the ad as clever and convincing for Manchin. Nobody called it "vitriol."
