If the military says there was no launch detection, there was no missile.
Move along now.
Actually, as a radar technician stationed out of Eglin AFB during the stealth fighter and bomber roll out era, I got to “track” a stealth fighter and bomber on radar.
Classified to what extent they are visible on radar, but I will say this, they are 100% visible to light that would be recorded by a camera and shown to your eyes!
Funny one!
I have friends working there now. I like to vacation there once in a while. Beautiful white beaches.
Radar Operator: Colonel, you better have a look at this radar.
Colonel: What is it, son?
Radar Operator: I don’t know, sir, but it looks like a giant...
Jet Pilot: Dick. Dick, take a look out of starboard.
Co-Pilot: Oh my God, it looks like a huge...
Bird-Watching Woman: Pecker.
Bird-Watching Man: [raising binoculars] Ooh, Where?
Bird-Watching Woman: Over there. What sort of bird is that? Wait, it’s not a woodpecker, it looks like someone’s...
Army Sergeant: Privates. We have reports of an unidentified flying object. It has a long, smooth shaft, complete with...
Baseball Umpire: Two balls.
[looking up from game]
Baseball Umpire: What is that. It looks just like an enormous...
Chinese Teacher: Wang. pay attention.
Wang: I was distracted by that giant flying...
Musician: Willie.
Willie: Yeah?
Musician: What’s that?
Willie: [squints] Well, that looks like a huge...
Colonel: Johnson.
Radar Operator: Yes, sir?
Colonel: Get on the horn to British Intelligence and let them know about this.
They real idiots call it L.A. (Lower Alabama), perhaps not knowing that the abbreviation is already taken; and others call it the “Redneck Riviera”.
Join the crowd. Jet contrails aren't that hard to understand folks! I see about 50 "missile launches" daily.
“Seceding.” We obviously will need to work on our schools in the new Republic of Texas.
Forget it. The video at the link is truly terrible in quality. About the only thing that can be said is that it is not moving across the sky very fast. That makes me think it is yet another contrail causing excitement among people that don’t understand geometry and perspective. Also, if it really did climb up over the horizon and continue on overhead...well, that is far far too long of a “burn time” for any missile out there - again, evidence it is probably a jet contrail.
Here’s a little clearer vid.

Really dumb.
I wonder how many more of these will make news before boredom takes over and they stop getting air time.
My guess is long before a news director says: “It’s a plane, you idiot.”
Yep. Contrail from a commercial flight, I bet.
Probably just some firecrackers...
Nothing to see here, move along.
MOVE ALONG.
True condensation trails start about two to three aircraft lengths behind the craft, materialize for 20 to 24 lengths, and then disappear.
This was either dispersant or rocket exhaust. Missile exhaust (SAM, A2A) has a distinct trail that almost looks disjointed.
This looks like the exhaust trail of a ballastic, rocket powered craft.
Dispersants start looking like very substantial contrails, and then develop into a ‘pearls on a string’ look.
It takes a whole bunch of material to make a visible aerial trail in the sky. Unburned fuel evaporates quickly because of its volatility (JP-5 is the exception). JP-5 is stable enough that you can extinguish a cigarette in it.
it was humor alludin the movie BLAZING SADDLES
