The Examiner has outlets across the US, in most if not all major media centers. They have contributors who cover virtually every topic under the sun. Those writer are free to express any opinion they want, and editing is pretty much restricted to seeing that it’s within the law, not profane, etc.

In politics examiner.com has writers from the far right to the far left, and everything in between. It should not be surprising that there is a Mormon writer, and there are likely authors who focus on other religions.

Philip Anschutz is the owner of the examiner.com. From Wiki:

Anschutz’s is... “A member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, he is a conservative Christian. He and his wife, whom he met when he was 16, have three children.”

Frankly the comments are so over the top that anyone who knows us or our posting style would know that it isn’t really us. By looking at the comments as a whole it is obvious that there are very few REAL comments.

I’m kinda with rogue yam - I would be concerned if someone didn’t measure up to my snarkiness.

All we can do is laugh it off. It does feel like a violation but we can’t let it get to us.

Oh and this morning, someone over there posting as me claims I am transsexual.

I was surprised too, they were much harsher on less visible and even non inmans they they were on the two of you.

Even the gay/transsexual comments about me weren’t as bad as some others who don’t even visit the LDS threads.

The thread started out an angry rant because Campbell's reformulated their condensed soups. The first part of the thread had angry people yelling at me. But later it became a different thread with info and recipes.
