What you said. You took the words right out of my mouth.
If I don't give..it's not theirs to say what I do with it...is it?
When did it become my responsibility to raise and pay for someone else's kids?
Do you subscribe to Hillary's *It takes a village* mentality?
Do you really think that the government has the right or should have the right to coerce you into paying for someone else's child's education under the threat of law, jail time and fines?
This is America, not the Soviet Union.
If someone wants children, it's THEIR responsibility to pay for them. Not mine.
Quit feeding the kids..and trying to be their parents...maybe you could stop paying for things...the parents ought to be paying for.
But I don't see it happening....not in my life time.
The Feds have too much control.....
Oversight on a tax break ?
We home schooled. The only (state) requirement(s) were that a parent show s/he had a college degree and thru @ 10th grade the kid had to take an annual standardized test achieving a certain score. No breaks for costs of supplemental classes or textbooks or field trips .. or to offset the income and benes the parent sacrificed to stay home to teach.
And, we had to pay taxes, a good part of which (one half of our county’s tax revenues plus state/federal) went to our local public schools where our home-schooled kids were not permitted to participate in ANY extracurricular activities.
Defense, yeah? I'm fine with that.
And what keeps school teachers, districts, systems..from making fraudulent claims..and making them accountable.
The NEA?????
The DOE?????
Yes, schools cost much less when they were more successful at teaching reading and math.
Do you mean not pay taxes? If you don’t pay taxes, it shouldn’t matter to you what the govt does with tax revenues.
Good heavens, no. If the schools and teachers’ unions thought they were LOSING money due to homeschooling, they’d come after homeschooling with both guns blazing.
