The snow was about waist high all around my house this morning, though the “official” reading for my area was ONLY between 24-28 inches.

I never appreciated the retired snowbirds - people from the Northeast who moved to Florida in retirement - when I was younger. I never thought that would be me.

Though I would never move to Florida, as I get nearer full retirement I DO find myself much less appreciative of snowy winters; so some warmer clime might find me taking up residence there someday.
