So he didn't mind sharing his lovely story at all. He felt so sure about the correctness of his value system. It was only after the feedback told him he was such a bozo that he changes his mind.

Amazing that they thought other people would think that what they did was just fine..

The self-absorbed breakup to end all breakups was Jessica Seinfeld’s.
She was married for three weeks-—had just returned from her honeymoon——when she met Jerry.
She then divorced her new husband to marry Jerry.

...detailed how the couple had broken up their previous marriages in order to be together, said she regrets nothing. Riddell told Forbes on Tuesday: "We did this because we just wanted one honest account of how this happened for our sakes and for our kids' sakes. ... There was nothing in the story we were ashamed of."
How does this square withe the headline?

Nothing new. Suzanne Sommers wrote an autobiography that became a TV movie detailing how she landed her hubby by busting up his prior marriage. Ex-Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier did the same to land his then-spouse for that matter, which also became a book and a movie. And Cybil Shepherd actually made a documentary recounting her affair with director Peter Bogdanovich during the making of The Last Picture Show. People have become very brazen and have absolutely no shame anymore.

Seinfeld (paraphrasing): “Now some people will cheat on the people they originally cheated with. That’s like two bank robbers and one turns his gun on the other and says, ‘OK, now give me your money too.’”

Right. It’s a further indication of just how self-absorbed these two are, that they expected the general public to sympathize with their “we had to be together at any cost” hook up story. They got quite the wake up call.

But now it seems like her groom, advertising executive John Partilla, has some misgivings -- about agreeing to let the Times profile him, that is. "I think if we had had an indication afterwards of the nerve it would have struck," he told Page Six, "we obviously would not have shared our life in any way publicly."Probably because he found out his employer was none too thrilled about it.

Had one of those couples here at the office - the woman ran around telling everyone about their adultery, looking for validation. She didn’t find any, and they both ended up leaving.

Im sure their kids appreciate their honesty As is usual with the children of such people, they have probably come to realize at an early age that their parents' love is conditioned on whether or not they enthusiastically approve of everything their parents do.
It will be years, if ever, before they come to the sinking realization that these two individuals are horrible, horrible human beings.
To: Fractal Trader
They are obviously a fairly well matched pair:
She doesn’t give a toot in a windstorm what others think about their self centered lives and doesn’t care who knows it.
He doesn’t give a toot in a windstorm what others think about their self centered lives but regrets not faking concern.
