Gee, how would donating a few ten million dollars here and there to the poorest of the poor hurt somebody who’s that wealthy?
Ironically (Ironomania today) what he describes is how someone who is NOT rich will benefit from the extension. Some of us not rich MAY be able to rent and extra hotel room because of this. This is a bad thing?

To him it is a bad thing. It has nothing to do with actually “helping” others- it’s all about controlling people.
If he really wanted people to be helped, he would take action with his own immense resources. It’s all “watch the birdie” to keep the focus off him, and to take the sting off of his self-realization that it is hypocritical people like himself that are the most selfish in our society.
Take some of that money Larry and buy yerself a last name.
