Lemme guess - - the AP is “BREAKING” this news now because the DREAM Act (amnesty for illegal aliens) failed?

The federal agency that monitors gun sales wants weapons dealers near the Mexican border

Why just near the border? Golly gee whiz, I thought we were told the border was as secure as it ever was. Give them this and they will come back in 6 months making it cover the entire *57* states.

Achh!!!

Hey, I passed a group trimming cherry trees whilst cross country skiing.

I said Como Esta as I went by.

They all looked up, waved and greeted me back likewise as I sped by.

Double Achh!!!

The modular concept of the AR15 is beginning to shine. A lower receiver, a piece of machined aluminum that fits in hand, the reportable firearm, is neither caliber nor operational specific. It can be mated to an upper receiver, which requires neither federal or local registration, that discharges anything from 22LR to 50BMG to 12 gauge shot shells to cross bow bolts.

God bless the wisdom of Eugene Morrison Stoner and the faith of Fairchild Industries.

BATFE already gets flagged over multiple purchases, but IIRC, that was for handguns. This isn’t the camel’s nose, it’s his shoulders.

I think that there is going to be a run on Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 rifles . . . .

Emergency? I wonder what they consider an emergency.

Well it sure as hell isn't the invasion of illegals crossing into our nation every day!

Our very own little Hugo Chavez.

Going after the Internet and guns at the same time.

Nice touch by the ATF with their "emergency request" to stomp on our rights.

Old George Soreass has demanded results or said he’ll get a new team.

It does not seem like such a tall order to take out that one individual; if we do so, does anyone step in to take his place, or does his dream die?

“...I heard .17 is great for head shots.”

Well, I haven’t had to shoot any humans with it...at least not yet, but I did shoot a neighbor’s pit bull/terrier mix dog with a .17HMR last spring that weighed about 75 lbs or so. That dog came into my garden earlier and bit me. I beat it off with a hoe. I told the owner that if it came on my property again, I would kill it.
I had a nice clean head shot right between the eyes at about 50 yards....that little round just hulled out the entire inside of the skull leaving nothing inside. The back of the skull had a piece missing the size of a quarter leaving a hollow shell...but it might have been pretty empty before it was even shot...lol.

I believe that there is much more to this regime than any one individual. There is a malignant bureaucracy that has grown nearly 30% in the last 18 months and they are choosing not to answer to Congress or the Courts. There is much they have to account for. There is good reason for us to distrust and fear them and them to fear us.
A few registered rifles will have no impact on this government, but it might be a foundation for confiscation. It will be the power of the people and their influence on their representatives if we have a peaceful solution. Otherwise it will be the power of the people.

Does it matter anymore? They can pass whatever they want, they can rule by decree, they can have their agencies make laws, they can pass whatever they want. They can pretend. The bottom line:

I’m an American, the libs can all go to hell. I’m free, I’ll never be ‘ruled’. Sucks to be a liberal. Because, I’m free. They’ll never be able to rule us. They can try, they can tax, they can threaten, they can do all their ruling class antics. The bottom line is, I’m free, and screw them. What power do you think you have over me? lol, THEY DON’T.

They can try to rule, but they will never rule.

Freedom trumps all.

“How on earth did the founders find enough like minded people without the Internet as that had to wait for Al Gore to invent it.”

It took 25 years - from 1750 to 1775 - for the Founders to organize, find leadership and make a plan to take on the British Crown.

It’s a very interesting story how they did it. One key was to take over local governments. This acted as a political base to start brushfires all over the colonies that the Tories couldn’t control.

We’re still no where near taking back local governments from the leftists, but 650 new patriots in state legislatures was a big surprise. I think we can build on that and cause major problems for the fascists in Washington.

One thing we can all do is elect county sheriffs who believe in the constitution and the 2nd amendment. Then form up a 2,000 man deputy auxiliary force for “emergencies.” Any federal operation that tries to enter the county can be legally neutralized.

A couple of sheriffs did that during Katrina, refusing to allow the feds into their counties.

Think locally.

Same sources endorsing this edict also endorsing proposed ATF director Andrew Traver, anti-2nd amendment scum all of them:

This kind of crap never goes against the criminal, only against the law abider who does what they say.

In the minds of this administration, the law abider is the criminal.

Keep that spirit! "an emergency request" -- shades of using emergencies for the purpose of furthering the leftist anti-gun agenda that rolls on. No need for Rahm Emmanuel any more since the pattern is built in to the present regime. I think we are in for an end game that will require all your spirit for opposing these thugs and tyrants. The czars must be stopped and nothing less than rebellion may be the only solution if impeachment and elections do not work.
