Arming oneself is a choice as is the type of weapon.
Some may choose a machete or a knife and other might choose a baseball bat.
Me, I prefer decent sized lead that moves about 2,700FPS and enables me to do so at a distance I think is safe.
Hey guys...look what I got for Christmas!
Bump.
Well, with the size of that new Omnibus bill ... maybe it “is” already in there ... but we won’t know for sure until we pass it so we’ll know what’s in it.
Cuccinelli is impressive. He was just interviewed on the John Gambling show. He explained why the judge’s ruling is the correct one. He said that none of the judges who ruled for the individual mandate fell for the “it’s a tax, no, it’s not a tax” runaround, so that argument is over and done with and won’t be considered. He said the commerce clause regulates people who want to participate in commerce, not those who want nothing to do with commerce.
He also said that other judges who will rule on challenges to the healthcare bill will read Judge Hudson’s opinion and take it into account, since there has never been a time in the history of this country when the federal government compelled anyone to purchase anything. There is no precedent for it.
It doesn’t matter if the individual mandate in the linchpin to holding the healthcare bill together. It’s unconstitutional.
I felt so much better just hearing him explain it.
Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, with her crack about the government being able to compell people to eat vegetables if it wanted to, should go back to law school. Either that, or move to a country where the government has complete control over its citizens’ lives.
