I hope so, because they tried that in 2008 and it didn't work.
On the other hand, if Palin runs and loses to Obama (very bad) or loses in the primaries to someone like Romney or Huckabee (possibly worse), she will have lost nationally twice and may be seen as having helped propel Obama (Romney/Huckabee) into office.
She has to weigh that against the relatively safe position as a king-maker.
I don't think it is at all certain that she'll run.
Once people see she isn't going to run then that status diminishes by the minute as people flock to the serious candidates. Yeah it's an all or nothing at all situation, but if Palin wants to continue to enjoy the influence she's garnered then she has no choice but to go for it. Politics doesn't like wall-flowers or losers.
Sarah doesn't pick on the old or the feeble-minded.
You're so crazy, you'll post for anyone (including Mitt or Huckster, or even Ron freaking Paul) that will derail a certain conservative woman whose name doesn't begin with the initials DH.
