My guess is there were other things he said and did, which made it more clear he was a threat to the President.

Since this is a guilty plea, they probably negotiated what exactly would be in the plea, and maybe this kept some more offensive or obvious things out of the record, in exchange for him not fighting the charge.

Obviously the Craigster belongs to the Leftist ruling class and as such is an untouchable.

Who was that Democrat Senator that made a threat against Bush during Katrina?

Same deal.

Leftist ruling class with a “stay out of jail card.”

Good point.

It could be a poem about the South African president.

Since independence there has been a genocide of whites by the blacks, especially the productive white farmers who live in isolated rural places.

This ongoing genocide ignored, of course, by the Leftstream Media.

The poem author could be a bitter SA farmer who has had his family murdered by the dictator’s men and wants revenge.

...... Poor taste, certainly, but also clearly protected by the first amendment.

From the link this is the part I think got him in trouble:

18. ...................... Spencer continued to state that he created and posted the poem approximately two years ago when his mother had passed away, sometime around August of 2007. Spencer stated he was referring to the current President of the United States and Spencer stated he regretted the decision to author and post the poem on the website(s).

It doesn't sound like the guy posed any serious threat and I don't agree with the sentence, but his admission appears to me to be pretty damning.

sometime around August of 2007. Spencer stated he was referring to the current President of the United States

Obama was barely a candidate at the time. He'd only been a US Senator for about 7 months. Further, it was not a threat. It was just a thought put down on paper; a Fantasy if you will. Unless he owned or had planned on purchasing a sniper rifle, then there was no overt action taken in furtherance of any potential threat, and thus no matter what he said after posting this nonsense, it was not a violation of the law. (At least not where there is a First Amendment).

Apparently this guy decided to plead guilty and throw himself on the mercy of the court. For that he deserves a Darwin Award.

If he had an attorney then he had a fool for an attorney. If he didn't have an attorney, then he had a fool for an attorney. No matter how you slice it, the guy had a fool for an attorney.

I suspect his attorney (if he had one) was a recent law school graduate Public Defender who loved Obama a lot more than he loved his own client.

It’s dangerous writing a poem?

It is now.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
