I’m still thinking NYT is nothing more than a website in this case.

If Manning sent the info to HuffPo, DU, Salon, or Politico the end result would have been exactly the same.

This isn’t the 1970s anymore.

The NYT still has enormous influence. Newpaper editors around the country run with the stuff the Times publishes as do TV and cable networks. I don’t like the fact that the “Gay Mafia” at the NYT has so much pull, it just does and will continue to do so for the immediate future anyway.

Bernie Goldberg detests the Times but he sees it the same way.

We deceived ourselves into thinking that the “new media” would overcome the “old media” in 2008 and the result was a huge win for the left.

It’s going to be mighty hard to figure out who is really at the core of the conspiracy but now that the document cat is out of the bag, you can bet that a whole lot of players will be trying to figure out how they can benefit, including Obama. And, if they can’t see any real “benefit,” they’ll be thinking in terms of damage control.

Also, I’m quite sure that Assange was very selective about what documents he put out so the absence of criticism of this country or that country in the pile of paper he released isn’t necessary proof that there is none in the original stack. He claims that it was an unedited dump but who can believe anything a creep like that (Self-professed anarchist with two rape warrants out for him in Sweden)has to say?

“And finally, since no one reads our paper, no damage will be done by publishing these documents.”
