Lobo's, a dance club that plays "norteno" music on Saturday nights and draws largely Hispanic patrons from Winchester, Va.

Virginia....Amazing...

They ought to be glad they weren’t caught in BY-God Texas or they would face a 3 month stay in a deportation center and worse if they get caught a second time. Texas has for years taken the position that their law enforcement and the Border Patrol are a team in dealing with these law breakers.

I'm not sure if your joking, or being sarcastic, but you do understand places like Parkland Hospital in Dallas are delivering nearly 1000 babies from illegal aliens each month?

At just one hospital.

The attorneys plan to ask immigration court judges to throw out these cases on the grounds that the state troopers stopped the cars because of their occupants' race.

Deportation isn't a criminal case, it's a hearing. You aren't being "punished" by being sent home, you are just being removed from a place you aren't allowed to be in.

So it makes no difference how they caught the people. Their argument is like saying that if police illegally catch me in Bill Gate's mansion, I get to keep it.

That’s a red herring. There is no way of knowing, since the LEO were busy nailing low-hanging fruit.

But hey, the guy was breaking the law, and should have been thrown to the ground during the traffic stop, right? Gotta show ‘im who’s boss? I’ve had it with the 10-mile-per-hour scofflaws around here.

Well, actually, yes there is a way to know....they're 'call logs' that all dispatchers have to maintain. During the week our local newspaper reports on what's on those logs as well as arrests and such.
There are also mass amounts of people that listen to police scanners for their hobby.
So it's not a 'red herring' because if there were burglaries and robberies taking place during that specified time, wherein the police were allegedly not available for calls (because they were instead dealing with traffic lawbreakers), then that would be easily provable.
The actual 'Red Herring' is the poster's original statement. People always want to deflect blame, push it off on other people or factors. I.E. "My crime wasn't as bad as that crime...why didn't you stop that crime instead?"
That is the Whiny Cry-Baby "Red Herring" you should be speaking of.

Then you use the word, "Whiney." Spoken as a true blue JBT. Part of the 99% that gives the other 1% a bad name.

Illegals and their enablers are concerned.

You must excuse me as I get cranky because when I come home I am always worn out from randomly nightsticking innocent people and arresting everyone I come into contact with for no reason.
It just sucks anymore that no one has any good drugs for me to steal and turn around and sell.
It's also a real PITA to have to pay off all the local newspaper reporters to help me cover everything up. Thank goodness we got the whole government conspiracy backing our PD up.
You really should come and see one of my opulent mansions that I acquired by being so corrupt.
