My dad had five different chances, blew every one and finally ended up in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections doing life on a career criminal beef. I won’t say that some people can’t turn their life around, but my problem with giving these second chances in this manner is that it negates the necessity of trying to live an honest life in the first place. I also believe that as time went on we would eventually be letting murder slide on a regular basis under a program such as this one.
