Known locally as unexplained "sonic booms"

I had a good friend nicknamed “Boom-boom”. She was very beautiful and attracted a lot of attention.

Maybe all those military bases nearby are doing a lot of training and maneuvers....you got Ft Bragg, Camp Lejeune, Pope AFB, A Marine Corps Air Station...all in the vincinity.
Granted, these are not artillery or armor units...but whenever you have a lot of your prime military facilities nearby....it can get a little noisy

What an interesting story.
Without evidence of seismic activity, one wonders if the possibility of outer space being a noisy place is possible.
Most likely, someone is testing a noisy assed high speed unit that does not exist yet.

No seismic activity reported, but houses shaking...?
It is possible that popping off a bunch of test MOAB’s could be “missed” by the USGS seismographs, but unlikely. Conspiracy and the likelihood of destroyed careers precludes this possibility in my small mind.
Maybe a new airburst technology.

Whatever they are, I’ve been hearing/feeling them for a couple of weeks. Weird.

Most likely, someone is testing a noisy assed high speed unit that does not exist yet. Now, that's funny. I heard a boom in Southern Maine last weekend, late Saturday morning. Do you think it could have been one of those high speed units not invented yet? It's hunting season, maybe a high powered deer rifle not invented yet?

We have, and have had for decades, units that can fly from Massachusetts to California in minutes, not hours.
They cause “skyquakes”.
Way cool.

I have heard them/felt them for years.
a-Continental shelf shifting?
b-Cosmic classified military UFO’s?
c-Pirate ghost ships in the Atlantic?
I am going with “b”

The U.S. Geological Survey has a handy guide to such noises called Earthquake Booms, Seneca Guns and Other Sounds. In it, the USGS disproves the angry ghost theory quickly by writing: We want an explanation, not a ghost story. "Disproves" would require proof, yet there is none. Must be the same new science as AGW.
