You jumped in pretty quick with thoughts of banning.
You might want to be a little more patient, as those of us who have been patient with you....n00b.
Thank you, sweetie. ;o)
Its private for outsiders who arent friends with them On Facebook unless they accept you as a friend.
First, it's really only as "private" as the mouthiest friend you have. Any "friend" can share your information pretty much with abandon. As long as the "print screen" key works on their computer, as in this case, Facebook is an open book.
Second, there are applications on Facebook; games and the like, which have in the past, exploited security issues and have taken all sorts of private information.
Thirdly, there are numerous hacks and now even browser-add-ons (for the laziest of script kiddies) to acquire and compromise so-called "private" information on Facebook and other sites.
Parents need to check and remind their kids over and over: there is very little privacy on the internet. We check our children's profiles frequently and remind them when they've overstepped our agreed-upon boundaries.
People who don't understand the above really shouldn't use Facebook. It's not so much a matter of personal embarrassment. It's a matter of personal security.
“No ones calling for a ban. Calm down.”
Really?
“No link. 2010 sign up. I think you might be going bye-bye.”
Maybe you would like to rephrase that?
Yeah, I never thought these were fake. Sadly this kind of back and forth isn’t uncommon among teens. Nor is the poor spelling ... I wish these girls thought better of behaving in this manner but I’m guessing a look at many FB pages of kids this age would show similar bickering.
Not a proud moment for them or their family, imo.
“not pretty”?! That’s being polite. I wonder what rating the Dove Foundation gave it?
“I hope I didnt offend someone that warrants a band or was it my mispelling of her name in the title.”
You did absolutely nothing wrong, so please don’t feel that you did.
“What ever it was I apologize.”
Stop it. ;o)
You have no reason to apologize. Some n00b yahoo got her panties in a wad for no reason.
I think Sarah should just beat the crap out of huffpo. I would pay $1,000.00 for a good seat in a nice indoor arena.
Hey, is that you making leftard heads explode on another site?
If so, good job. I’m the one who pointed out that everyone is writing about her, including the author.
So this happened 4 years ago. I would hope that Bristol has matured since then. This is proof that Alaska is a bad influence on children. One more proof...They just elected a witch as senator, and they have government officials that don’t follow the law.
Apart from that there are not many angles left in this world anymore.
It doesn’t matter if the comments are authentic or not.
They have been posted and will enter into the realm of “fake but accurate.”
People still believe Sarah Palin said “I can see Russia from my house,” and they will believe this.
Kids of past generations could make mistakes growing up and most of those mistakes would be left behind as time went by. But kids of today who make their growing-up misttakes on the internet will be saddled with them for eternity.
Not only is their every utterance stored somewhere in cyberspace forever, the information is almost instantly available to one and all.
The best thing a parent could do for their children today is to teach them to live without Facebook and other social sites. In the future public figures and everyday citizens will have to deal with a complete digital record of every immature post they ever made on internet forums.
Agree. Facebook is anything but private. If you don’t want it broadcast, don’t put it there. It WILL come back to haunt you.
I won’t use it.
Did I miss something? Where did the four years ago come from?
NEWSFLASH! Teenagers sometimes use profanity! More at Eleven!
How is this even news?
Agreed, both Willow and Bristol should have absolutely known better, but this is typical teenage trash talk which I've seen plenty times before, being a former teacher myself.
Yeah, that HP is posting screenshots of a teenage s**t-fight tells you 1) that the anklebiters are still monitoring the Palins for anything embarrassing in which to feed to HP, and 2) HP, KOS, and DU will stoop to any low measure in which to attack Sarah, even through her daughters.
OMG! This looks EXACTLY like what a 16 yr. old would write on FB, especially if an argument is involved. Big Deal!!
My boys call each other fag,and have more variations on the work Gay than you can imagine.
My oldest son is 19 and in the military, if I had a nickle for every time he and his friends call eachother faggot or gay I wouldn’t have to work.
Believe it or not, I would bet that in private amongst their friends they do!!
Never say never where teenagers are concerned!
Is there a probationary period where people are allowed to post?
Maybe Sarah should put them in a convent so that they have no contact with the outside world until they are 26.
My gosh, they are young adults. Young adults do stupid things, it is part of growing up.
