Heh-—I bet the school administrators had to change their shorts when the bikers arrived flying the American flag.

LOL. It's great to see so many people turn out to support this kid flying the American flag.

Sadly, the consequence of embolded illegals is the result of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 signed into law by President Reagan. Back then the estimated number of illegals was 2 - 3 million. When those law breakers received amnesty it taught today's illegals that overwhelming the system will lead to American citizenship. So now we have an estimated 12 - 20 million illegals.

President Ronald Reagan signed that bill into law with great fanfare amid promises that it would grant legal status to illegal immigrants, crack down on employers who hired illegal workers and secure the border once and for all. Instead, fraudulent applications tainted the process, many employers continued their illicit hiring practices, and illegal immigration surged.

It was under *Bush*, where a historic, unprecedented massive marches on our cities and towns occurred, by millions of illegal aliens.

This did not occur under President Reagan, Tex.

With all the bad news, it’s refreshing to have something positive for a change. I worry every day about my grand kids’ future, so to see a 13 year old make a difference gives me hope.

Too bad Bush didn’t follow Reagan’s amnesty plan. Oops - he did! The problem is Republicans never learn....

They wouldn’t have marched on our cities had they not learned the lesson that President Reagan taught them twenty years earlier when he signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986: cross the border illegally, stay under the radar, overwhelm the system ... get a free ride.

Note: I didn’t support Bush’s attempted amnesty program and don’t pretend to defend it, but it isn’t what opened the floodgates.

Reagan did the amnesty thing 25 years ago...There were only a 2 or 3 million in country...Our jails, classrooms, schools, hospitals, and socials services were not being choked off and destroyed.

No one even considered this it to be an "Invasion" 25 years ago.

During the last 8 years of Bush, our borders became an absolute free for all, with a conga-ling of millions entering. Those that had a belly full and went down to the borders to help stop this invasion, were called Vigilantes by Bush...

During Bush, credible estimates of *30* million were believed to have entered illegally...

The Texas border became a war zone under Bush....

Parkland Hospital in Dallas is now delivering almost 1000 illegal alien babies per month!

So what did Bush do recently?

Bush attempted to shove amnesty down our throats, when the American people were *clearly* *overwhelmingly* against it.

Lets see if you can be honest here.

Question:

Considering everything above, do you believe if Reagan were president in 2008, he would have attempted to shove an amnesty down our throats when the American people were overwhelmingly against it?

Nothing this truly cool ever happened to me as a kid. He’ll be telling his grandchildren about this, and hopefully be a Patriot Guard rider when he grows up.

What they are teaching is a blend of radical feminism and Radical Egalitarianism. Short-form is “Everything is anything”.

Normal people look at the world and see a cornucopia of things. We make note of, and celebrate the seemingly endless variety of things. It’s called diversity.

Leftists look at diversity as a disease. They give it a tip of the hat (”Celebrate Diversity!”) but in truth they fear and loathe variety. They can’t resolve the fact that we’re NOT all the same, so they invent artificial characteristics with which to conquer and contain the people.

Leftists don’t “feel” patriotism. They invariably squirm at patriotic displays. Their twisted notion of equality demands that if they don’t want patriotism in their midst, then NO ONE should be allowed to show patriotism.

It isn’t enough that this young man isn’t harming a single soul with his patriotic display - he is deviating from the “norm” - as defined by the leftists, and that cannot be allowed (according to them).

I applaud this kid and his parents - I just hope that they do not fall prey to the “tolerance” that is typically shown to non-compliant (non-leftist) individuals.

It’s a great show of support, but the key is to cold-cock the silly, leftist principle who made the asinine decision in the first place. A broken nose and two or three missing teeth would cause him to RETHINK such decisions in the future.

I seriously doubt it. So does Ed Meese, his Attorney General.

What would President Reagan do? For one thing, he would not repeat the mistakes of the past, including those of his own administration. He knew that secure borders are vital, and would now insist on meeting that priority first. He would seek to strengthen the enforcement of existing immigration laws. He would employ new tools--like biometric technology for identification, and cameras, sensors and satellites to monitor the border--that make enforcement and verification less onerous and more effective.

That doesn't close the floodgate. And Bush's amnesty program failed.

I didn’t intend to start a debate over Reagan v. Bush amnesty. I was just needling dragnet2 about his contempt for Texas. I apologize if we took the thread off topic.

You don't know the whole story...

The school said they made their decision about the flag due to safety concerns for Cody, due to the angry complaints about his flag.

It was started by some of the Hispanic/Mexican students that angrily complained of being offended by the American flag....

That kicked this entire event off...
