So does that mean their version of the Declaration of Independence includes the right to liberty and the perfuit of buggery, but not life?

These "small government conservatives" have no interest in opposing and overturning the anti-discrimination laws which ban conservative institutions. They have no interest in reopening closed Catholic adoption agencies in DC. They are posturing.

All social issues should be left to the STATE level!

Federalism works just like that.

It’s about time for the Republican Party to stand up and SHRINK THE GODZILLA FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

A fiscally conservative government, according to Reagan, is the best way to encourage the people to re-assess their lives and focus on what is socially “fulfilling” and good ... strong family!

I fully support avoiding social issues. The standard reply should be: Let the states decide.

Look how it worked out on Prop 8 in CA with a huge wave of “liberal” voters coming out to support the anointed one.

The issue should be solely on put our country back under the rule of the Constitution, reigning in spending, and lowering taxes.

Gods, Guns and Gays never wins a national election in the USA. Might in some local districts.

Constitutional Federal Government platforms always will win...unless diluted by ...too much God, Guns and Gays....

Two separate comments:

1. The Tea Pary is made up of a lot of libertarians. Keep government out of our personal lives.

2. Abortion and homosexuality are disgusting and immoral. The issues can be legislated/banned until the cows come home, but the only thing that will stop these things is a change in people’s hearts. If we can get back to the Constitution and permit Judeo-Christian ethics to be taught in schools again, bring back prayer, stop worshipping political correctness, etc., that will open the door for a revival. Revival = hearts changed = people doing the right thing.

Why doesn't he mention the actual name of his blog: 'Gay Patriot'? At least 12 people on this phony "tea party" list are gay actvists. This is a transparent attempt by the homosexual lobby to co-opt the movement. I guess since the Ann Coulter invite backfired on them, GOProud is trying a new gimmick. It won't work. We aren't that stupid.

My view is that this election was nothing more than a gigantor STOP IT! sign to anything done by the Democrat owned Congress and Obama agenda, whether it be social, economical, shrinking back the government, reinforcing our military and US sucurity, or what have you. That includes protecting the sanctity of life, so push it.

But the primary motive is to save the country from financial collapse. If we go down, the world goes with us, and we won’t be so worried about social issues. But don’t mistake this for a free ride on social issues. Push it.

There is a big difference between “avoid” social issues and “emphasize” social issues. I agree that this Congress needs to emphasize cutting spending and thus, should not emphasize social issues. However, that doesn’t mean go liberal on social issues. You don’t need to vote in amnesty, gun control, gay marriage and approve Lib judges in order to cut spending.

After reading much of this thread so far it would certainly appear that the GOP Proud, Log Cabin Liberal Republican and many Libertarian trolls are out in force here trying their best to sow disharmony and blowing smoke up our arses as often as they can. Beware the infestation of the morally and mentally deficient pro homo anti-family anti-God trolls.

GOP Proud troll mates

@Kristinn,

This is why 98% of Illinois FReepers were supporting the third party candidate for Senate over UBER RINO DIABLO Mark Kirk who would go along with everything these gutter groups stand for.

Mark Kirk is pro cap and tax, 100% rating from NARAL (Abortion Group), anti-gun, pro-gay, the list goes on and on.

People like DJ and Billyboy were screaming from the roof top about Mark Kirk but he still won and he is going to make Olympia Snowe look like Jesse Helms.

They weren’t arguing about the Abomination Against Nature, or the Crime of Abortion on Boston Harbor because there wasn’t anyone who had the chutzpah to try to tell civilized people it was something they had to accept and affirm.

I would not sign such a letter. Such a letter implies that these individuals would vote for an end to DADT and would push homosexual “marriage.”

In a perfect world, my principles might have to go along with the “marriage” thing or actually the doing away with of marriage as a legal contract, because people shouldn’t get special favors just because they sign a partnership agreement.
