The letter is to someone in Kenya so it makes sense that he only mentions the wife in Kenya--he may have already decided to leave Stanley and anyway probably didn't plan to take her to Kenya.

That sounds, um, made-up. Especially since Lolo's immigration records show that he first came to the US in 1962, which would make it really difficult for Ann to have been friends with him before 1961.

So where'd you get the idea they knew each other before she married Senior?
