Listen to Palin talk about the Fed's QE2, the second episode of quantitative easing. They are printing bills guaranteed by the Treasury. She knows about what she's talking.

Palin isn’t nearly as uninformed and hollow as the MSM and leftists make her out to be. I wouldn’t say her plain spoken ways are an “act”, but I would say that she is a genious at connecting with regular folks. The left in trying to discredit her day after day recognizes it. They are petrified of her.

What she said about the bailouts & TARP will be a problem during the debates.

McCain made one helluva mistake suspending his campaign to rush back to DC to support TARP. Had he not supported TARP he (besides doing the right and constitutional thing) would’ve set himself apart from both Bush AND Obama and may have actually won the election. And he put his running mate Palin in a bad position. No way could cross the top of the ticket and survive. No conservative can see TARP as anything but big government meddling at taxpayer expense and she has said that many times. It will be interesting to see how she handles McCain’s folly during the debates. Of course, most of the RINO wannabes who will be her opponents on stage and ALL on the democrat side supported TARP because they actually believe in big government.

But didn’t Huckabee think that Obama was a good guy and good for the country when he was elected? I seem to remember he was one of the Obama good ol’ boy backslappers?

Huck was for a lot of dumb things. But he was able to make the case against TARP. Conservatives need to learn from him when he is right and from others when they are right.

EXACTLY! My head nearly exploded when McCain came out in support of TARP.

It appears the greatest fear of the Left right now is not raising the debt limit. This means we should not raise the debt limit.

We can bag a lot of RINOS in 2011. The season will be open and no bag limit.

If we keep the current debt limit and are serious about cutting spending, that would only take us back to the amount we spent in 2008. That’s two years ago. In the meantime, all those interest payments on our debt are financing the growth of Red China!

Virtually everything nowadays is made there. Stop and think about it.

Well we a screwed either way. The new senator from Utah wants to go back to 2004 and not raise the limit. Rearranging the deck chairs now will probably not help. But it may buy some time.

We can choose not to commit suicide. Mark Steyn has said the only good thing about America is enough of us don’t want to settle for perpetual decline.

That said, rescuing the country from the abyss may be beyond even the powers of a modern day Ronald Reagan. We’ll see.
