There might be a reasonable explanation for who they were and why they were there.
Unless the men are members of your congregation there is NO reasonable explanation. None. Would any one of us go to a mosque or church of another faith and ask those questions? No.
I'd want someone guarding the church at night too. What if they slip in during the night when nobody is around?

Unfortunately it's illegal to carry in a church in Michigan, even when you have a permit. That's only if you get caught...

I think that a church would be an easy hit. Do yall have walkie talkies? I go to a pretty big church and if something happens the word can get around fast by walkie talkie. We do always have security there. I don’t know if any threats have been made though. A few years back there were because our pastor at the time, Jerry Vines, called Mohammed a pedophile and some folks got riled up about it. lol

The first one involved them asking odd questions about the size of our services, questions about the children's area, even requesting a layout of the building. The FBI has been alerted and its been discovered that at least one other church in the area has had a similar incident take place. That is scary.

Not trying to unalarm you at all. But the obviousness of the behavior you describe, does seem peculiar.
Interestingly enough I happened to catch part of a show about Alexander the Great on the history channel this after noon. Seems that one of his tactics was to "unalarm" his enemies. He did obvious things in full view of his enemies only to pull up short of an actual attack. Basically the enemy became so familiar with his behavior that he was able to launch a sudden attack on the enemy without them being alarmed by it till it was too late.

Indeed, James Woods has a VERY high IQ.
I admire the fact that he was raised by a single mother
whom he has honored all his life.

And that sounds just like the trap some want to occur.
I believe you are right though if something like this happen it would be hard to stop things from escalating quickly.
Pray that any such attempt fails with those behind it finding justice, True Justice from the Almighty.

Most corporations have a very strict rule about taking pictures in front of their buildings. Employees can’t do it either. The Middle Easterners have been caught in buildings taking pictures of hallways and exit doors; etc. They pretend like they aren’t doing it by placing the cameras waist-high.

The underground tunnel is a place they like to do this.

"Next time people like that show up in church," 1). Take their photos with some church members....
2). Big story in church magazine with the pics of new members of your Christian faith.
3). Send copies to local mosques.
4). Monitor local newspapers obituary pics for the above new members.

It would have been cool if you had taken pictures of them also, or pretended to do so with your phone.
